Note: My assumption that 4G LTE and wifi calling were synonymous is that the two technologies always seemed to be in the same discussions. I thought wifi calling was dependent on 4G LTE. However, this is not the case. Thanks to those who had taken the time to reply and help make me aware of this.

I'm new at this myself. My phone was unlocked. However, I had to unlock the bootloader using a bin file from the primary carrier of the phone, which in my case was T-Mobile.

@arubislander Yes. Just an observation. If I'm in area with no cellular service, I would think wifi calling should work without it. It doesn't work at all.
