  • RE: The phone on UT Focal 20.04 is unstable

    The phone is not my daily driver - so I do not use it so much. But I never experienced such problems. And I am also on devel.

  • RE: Installer stops with adb error

    Switch off the device. Press the louder key. Connect the phone while pressing the louder key with your computer. Wait until the blue light appears. Run the ubports Installer.

    Re: FM radio: testing instructions and feedback

    Enabling my device, the Xperia X -- First:

    phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ sudo ls -l /dev/fm* /dev/radio*
    [sudo] password for phablet:
    ls: cannot access '/dev/fm*': No such file or directory
    crw-rw----+ 1 system system 81, 18 Oct 27 1971 /dev/radio0

    Second: Install the .debs (fm-radio-service; fm-radio-tools). No problem!

    Third, Start the command-line client:
    phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ fm-radio-client.py

    1. Quit
    2. Open tuner
      Choose an action: 2

    That is the result:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/bin/fm-radio-client.py", line 226, in pick_action
    command.action()
    File "/usr/bin/fm-radio-client.py", line 156, in open_tuner
    tuner_path = service.open_tuner()
    File "/usr/bin/fm-radio-client.py", line 26, in open_tuner
    return self.__service.OpenTuner()

    message, timeout)
    dbus.exceptions.DBusException: com.lomiri.FMRadioService.Error.ResourceError: Radio backend not available

    Seems to be similar to the output from BQ U Plus, isn´t it?
    (I´m not a porter or expert, only a user - but really like fm on my phone and missing that in UT.)

    So, thank u for your work!

  • RE: Strange partitions on nexus 7

    @kultex this is the way I would do, because it seems the easiest way for me; it would partitionate the device to the original condition. Howto in fastboot is described on twrp.me and (I think) Lineage os. (probably you will need an older version of twrp, before the appearance of LOS 9).

  • RE: Strange partitions on nexus 7

    @kultex nexus 7 needed for installing Lineage 9 (8 also?) and forks of it a repartition. So maybe it has been repartitioned with a modified Twrp for that reason. In that case, it may help to partitionate with a former twrp that does not partitionate. (I do not know which version.)

  • restricted offline charging

    Since flashing UT to my Xperia X I have restricted offline charging. Switching off and reboot, the phone shows the typicall sony information when it is unlooked ("Your phone has been unlocked ... can´t be untrusted."), after that the sony logo and than the graphic-animation charging battery. But the devices isn´t charging (contrary to that: it is very slowly discharging). When I disconect at that moment and immediately connect, the Xperiy X will start charging. Are there other users with that issue? (no problem charging turned on - and no problem with android before)

  • RE: Sony Xperia X (suzu/F5121 & F5122)

    @Stef7773 What maybe can help: choose another version of ubports-installer. Otherwise, I followed the posts on xda, there I understood the correct way to flash. I remember some month ago, I had the same problem .

  • RE: Sony Xperia X (suzu/F5121 & F5122)

    @wdehoog I am not sure, that for example "Flas" is not related. Cause I noticed, that after a while it also stops. First I thought, it is because of the quality of My wifi connection .

  • RE: Sony Xperia X (suzu/F5121 & F5122)

    I can confirm "When on BATTERY, the music is interrupted. After couple of seconds it's playing again and it's again interrupted. When the screen is turned on (still locked) the music is playing without problem. When on BATTERY and Wi-Fi is turned off, it's playing without problem." and "When I receive a message it vibrates but it plays sound after the screen is activated. Incoming call is without problem."

    I have not tested more. And: no problem with the Apps: "Flas" and "Clound Music" .

    Falshed today UT to suzu: works amazing. Unfortunatly no "donate" button here. Had to donate on xda to u. Thank u! I appreciate your work very much: to have a mobile working privacy friendly alternative more to android is important. Thanks!
