thanks @advocatux. I wish something like this would become a sticky in this forum or in a FAQ somewhere.

Thank you for this group!
This is one of my biggest gripes about mobile app development with Ubuntu Convergence (whatever you refer to it as). If you were to run a Google or Amazon search for books related to iOS or Android app development right now, you would find more hits than you would for Ubuntu Snaps. This is exactly the catalyst the Ubuntu mobile OS community needs right now to become a success.

RE: Issue installing Ubuntu Touch via UbPorts on OP 5T
@totalrando At first, nothing happened because I didn't have the bootloader unlocked. A bit of a pain to figure out at first.

RE: Thank you for this group!
Glad to hear. I'd like to compile a shortlist of current languages supported by Snaps in a followup post. Something small, nothing fancy, but something that can be used as a base reference.

@flohack It worked. I was stuck on unlocking the bootloader.

@keneda That definitely worked. Sorry I figured out my problem was a missing Windows driver when my phone was in bootloader mode that I needed to install. Everything else about the instructions were straight forward. Thanks!

Does UBPorts have an official guide to porting Ubuntu Touch to new Android devices
Hi,
Just trying to see if there is a step-by-step guide for users and testers to confirm whether Ubuntu Touch will work on newer model Android devices. I'd like to help get it working with my new Android phone and I don't know if that would mean petitioning the device manufacturer for open-source drivers.
Thanks,

RE: Programming languages supported by Ubuntu Snaps
Good afternoon UBPorts,
So after a brief hiatus, I'm returning to these forums. Dan, to answer your question, my original intent with this post was to attempt to identify all the programming languages used to create Ubuntu Phone apps. Different sources tell me different things and I'm looking for one definitive source.
So if we compare Apples and Ubuntus, Apple has a singular definitive language that they use "Swift". Ubuntu seems fragmented in comparison with available information. If you could please point me to a good book or definitive source on Ubu app development, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you
