@sven hi, I believe it is the Ubuntu touch element that provides wife and mobile provider internet. I don't touch any settings within waydroid itself.

@alagirialagiri UPDATE FROM A HUMBLE USER - I am running a Gigaset GS5 with a Ubuntu Touch 24.04 install as VOLLAPHONE 22 WITH NEW SCREEN.
Waydroid works perfectly, totally stable for me at least - the only issue was that it wouldn't reboot if you restarted your phone.
As of 26/06/2025 UT version 280 it now reboots with no issues. Its never worked better and I cant tell you how grateful I am to the amazing developers for bringing this to us.
@hankschwie hi mate, so at long last the latest update has sorted the reboot problem - this is version 280 of Ubuntu 24.04 as of 26/06/2025.
I don't know about Fairfax phones but have a Gigaset GS5 which I used the Vollaphone 22 with new screen install. Phone works, Ubuntu works, and now Waydroid is back.....
These folks are truly amazing
Are you using UBUNTU 24.04? I keep updating every couple of days hoping it will solve the problem....eventually.
@hankschwie sorry mate, just seen your post.
My problem still persists. I use waydroid helper and uninstall waydroid without wiping data. I then reinstall which goes through two processes;
If the download starts but is only doing a rate of say 78 kbs I cancel and start the process again. The same is true of the vendor download.
Once installed it should be in the state you left it. as long as you don't restart the phone, waydroid will always reboot. But the minute you cut the power, this ends the session for real and we're back where we started.
As you can see, noone responded to my post so I have no clue how to fix it.
I would think its a case of 'writing out' the problem in the text editor 'reboot' bit. Until someone comes to my rescue this will continue....
@peat_psuwit you guys are incredible! I just installed it on a Rephone and its displayed the voLTE capability without needing to go into mobile phone settings. I made my very first phone call using UT
Thanks for everything you do folks.....just amazing!!!
When rebooting waydroid after switching batteries it hangs on the waydroid icon ad infinitum. This is on a new GIGASET GS5 with Ubuntu Touch installed via UBPORTS as VOLLAPHONE 22.
I can uninstall and reinstall waydroid with no loss of data and it solves the problem. Hoping there is a less time and data consuming solution.....
I have two volley phones and want to copy files from one to the other. But when connect the phones using C to C neither phone detects the other...
Is it possible to roll back Waydroid to an earlier version?
The rotate icon in PDF Reader and KMP Player no longer works, it merely shrinks the image. This is since all the waydroid updates this year - worked fine in 2023 . . .
Is this a bug?
@sven im running 16.04. But its my waydroid update thats the problem. Rotate doesnt work in PDF reader or movie players or internet. Ubunu is fine.
@sven hi sven, sorry for delay in responding. My status says stable. Version 16 is on but 20 is on the menu.
@sven thanks Sven, so how do I get back to the earlier 2023 version?
I have a Volla 22 and have always been good with waydroid but have this problem with the latest update.
Also, since updating to march 24 my rotate no longer works . . . Any iðeas
A quick update. My battery drained fast because at night I placed it on my wallet. One of the cash cards has some "i tag" tracking nonsense on it an when the phone is close enough it searches for the i tag url or something. It basically searches all night. . . . so in this morning its down to 10%.
Seperating them sorts it . . .
Hi Bolly, I have a Vollaphone with Ubuntu Touch as the only system, and Waydroid within it.
Thanks for all your responses. I checked the tweeking tool and everything is optimised for little drainage. The VollaPhone is normally one of the best in respect of battery — usually drains about 20% in 8 hours, now its about 1% every 2 minutes even with a new battery sent by Volla . . .
Ill contact them and update the forum . . . Thank again folks . . . Its a great community
Wow dude . . . Ill check . . . Thanks!
Hi, it happens when ive booted up and not started waydroid. If i go to bed at 0000 on a battery of 80% its down to 10% when i get up at 0500 . . .
Im running ubuntu touch and waydroid on a vollaphone 22. Battery started running down fast so i replaced it and it is even worse.
It happens even when not in waydroid. Is there something in ubuntu that could be causing this?
