RE: [Norwegian] Which nb version?
@dobey said in [Norwegian] Which nb version?:
@fossMan The standard way of doing things in Ubuntu translations is that translations are for the generic version (nb in this case), unless there is a specific need for regional translations to exist (such as for pt_PT and pt_BR). So you should do everything for the nb locale in this case, I think.
1Unfortunately, it is a bit of a mess for those.
https://i18n.skolelinux.no/localekoder.txt is the general guideline, where
https://www.open-std.org/JTC1/SC22/WG20/docs/n854-Bokmal.htm is preferred
https://icu.unicode.org/design/norwegian-locales-changes-in-v39 says "no" is un-deprecated,
but that only makes sense to select as just one option to have the other (nn_NO, or nb_NO) as a fallback, not for content. On the new platform it is all in one locale, which avoids duplication.

https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/lomiri/-/nb_NO/#overviewTL;DR, nb_NO it is.

RE: UI question - alternative pincode prompt system setting integration

This avoid mistakes like "pin" → "PIN", and the variation of
"passcode" "passphrase" "pin code" "4 digit code", and so on.
Basic users will also struggle with "prompt", and possibly "keyboard input".Ideally it would be a non-nested menu
with selectable entries where other possible options are grayed out and deleted when selecting something else. This removes the need for "On" and "Off", with the currently saved method showing up in a colour.

I think the fields should take direct input and not focus-shift.
