Remembered this news from january when marius announced his work to fit sfdroid from Sailfish to UT. Is there any progress with this, or is it on hold or abandoned?

We need browser with good media etc. support. Otter is not there yet and doubt it will be for long time (if ever).
Can we get some browser in which we could get Netflix, Viaplay, Amazon and such VOD services working?
Dualboot would be sweet. There are some Android apps that i would like to use sometimes.

@alternator
there a lot of different feelings about this. . i for myself doesnt like the new 'multimedia' style of a lot of current blogs and forums.
there i see emojis videos and have problems to see the answers of talking people. its overloadet with shiny-graphics.... but there are, how you say, different points of view. what if we had 2 sections of the forum... one with multimedia and one other part in the txt-90's style.
Proper forum let's user decide if it wants to see videos or any other multimedia content.

Can see what you mean, but I am one of the users who are just glad that Ubuntu Touch will live on. Hopefully, the forum will go forward with the things that you mentioned, but for me at the moment the OS going forward is more important.
Like you shouldn't complain about food if there is hunger somewhere in the world?
Things can improve and this website etc. is probably in someone else's hands than those who devel OS. Atleast it should be.
This forum is like blast from the past. Like it's 90's again. Which is not good in this case.
Not sure if this is community made but could we have more modern look to it with gimmicks we are accustomed from other forums. Like smileys, youtube etc. video embedding. Way to see when someone has answered to thread and possibility to have thread on tracking list. Proper quote system?
I thought this was general topic for the M10.
I also thought heavy battery consumption was normal for the M10. First time i installed Android into it. Will try UBports version once it gets stable.
Insane battery consumption has been the issue with all my Ubuntu devices E 4,5 M10 and Meizu Pro 5.
Yesterday i had to flash Android to my M10, because i need to use Android app. While it was somewhat laggy and incredible powerdrain under Ubuntu, it is nothing of a sort under Android.
When it was Ubuntu. 2A charger couldn't charge battery fast enough and battery drained like motherfucker, but now that it is Android there is no problem with that. If you forgot it on, battery dropped under 50% in just few hrs. Today it was on with Android and after 5hrs (standby) battery claimed it was still 100%.
Very sad that Ubuntu Touch was such a drag to run. I sure hope UBports can do better.
My 10 cents would be to change that name asap. UBports is awful name for os. And that robot reminds too much of a Android.
Perhaps something like Change OS Since things are about to change
We would already have theme song for that

Or simply call it Touch OS
Would be sweet if radio.garden could work on UT. Tried this on bq M10 and Meizu Pro5 with same results. Error says WebGL is supported, by browser, but cannot be initialized.
Any way to make it work?
I had similar problem once, when i had my BQ 4.5. One update ruined some internet radios, but tunein worked. Next update fixed it.
