@dobey I didn't paste nothing this is its own question there is not another thread for this issue specifically, its not wasting time if we find and answer and it helps other people too. I ain't asking all these randoms who don't know the answers to what I'm asking to answer everytime like reddit bots. No one is obligated to answer any of them but many here seem to act like their entitled to a denoting every post I make. I honestly don't understand what the issue is I didn't come here with the intentions of upsetting people I wanted to help contribute/ troubleshoot really. If its not allowed delete the threads or get off my case with the nonsense unless you have real contributions to the questions I'm asking. Responses like yours not mine are the one wasting peoples time.

RE: Magisk Root on Anbox Possible? Patched boot.img installs but su permission denied. Help & Ideas
@UniSuperBox @Lakotaubp Then if you can't answer don't reply and waste everyones time. I am not misunderstanding the whole concepts of anbox or ubuntu touch. You guys think I'm five or something but I understand more of this than you guys it seems. I completely understand the concept of a container, root is still possible in a container. I am comfortable with adb commands have been using them for many years now, giving me tons of completely unrelated information. I'm not using lineageos for a reason as in I see something here this is also not my main device. I dont care if root passes the safety net and it could still pass quite likely that is not the point, I would just like any type of superuser permission for my root apps which I believe and appears on its face entirely possible. Anyone who knows what they are talking about should understand this . Magisk or supersu could be of tremendous use to me and many others on anbox who have asked about it. And everyone is continuing to grill me instead of contribute its sickening, not the sense of community or open-source I expected to face at all from here.

RE: Ubports TWRP Recovery Flashable zips out there/possible?
@Lakotaubp yes get off my ass I read his answer and again it is totally irrelevant to this one and a bunch of bs.

RE: Magisk Root on Anbox Possible? Patched boot.img installs but su permission denied. Help & Ideas
you flash a seperate boot.img with anbox and it was successfull got patched I thought I may be able to have a superuser. If it was fully read write I believe it would be possible just like how the keyboard works across multiple apps. Can everybody stop harassing me to hit the books yall are way too dense the f. It is a question that stands

RE: Ubports TWRP Recovery Flashable zips out there/possible?
@Lakotaubp those are totally different questions

RE: Set partition sizes when flashing
dang I feel like I'm one of ones who got too see what was up with it on multirom on oneplus it was super finnicky to install but dope asf once you got it running, I think they used a custom image not the exact same from canonical. Which I could find it as a flashable zip

Ubports TWRP Recovery Flashable zips out there/possible?
I can still multiboot with android and sailfish roms through multirom twrp recovery, but the option to install ubunutu touch has disappeared because the app has not been updated for so long. You used to have to enter the app in android to start the install but this section no longer appears says in it's place "failed to download information about the updates". Would really like to dualboot this on my oneplus one again if posssible somehow

Any Working Browser on Anbox Oneplus One? Webview does not open, duckduck crashes on search
Trying to update frdroid gms repositories but can't confirm key without opening a browser on the android side. All apps appear to be connected to internet fine, webview does not open at all on fresh install on oneplus. Duckduckgo search suggestions appear but upon search app crashes, chrome, and I have heard Opera also do not work. Anyone find a fix? How does it work on the devices which do have a working browser, can you search directly through default webshell? Tried to fiddle with default settings, browser apps, enabled permissions but no dice. Link to working original webshell apk?

RE: Is dual boot still possible?
I tried numerous combinations of acceptable kernels and roms no dice through multirom for ubuntu touch unless it can be installed manually and not through the app somehow. Once you have proper a multirom twrp, multirom zip, and kexechardboot accepted kernel it is still possible to multiboot any other roms aswell as sailfish os. The multirom app itself is the problem because it always says now "failed to get information about the updates". The only way it was possible was before was clicking the option to install ub through the app which no longer appears unfortunately. It would be great if someone could revive this or modify the app to work again. If anyone does still have it configured this way don't uninstall it or you'll be pretty bummed like I was when I went to install it again.

Magisk Root on Anbox Possible? Patched boot.img installs but su permission denied. Help & Ideas
I wanted to attempt to give root anbox apps permission through a superuser app was my intention. Any other ways without a normal superuser? Magisk Manager app successfully patches the anbox-boot.img and anbox is still installed, nothing crashes.
Replacing these commands
"wget http://cdimage.ubports.com/anbox-images/anbox-boot-$CODENAME.img
sudo fastboot flash $PARTITIONNAME anbox-boot-$CODENAME.img"
with "sudo fastboot flash boot anboxmagiskboot.img" (which I put in my /home/username folder[same place wget download would go too]) succeeds and anbox does appear to get installed correctly.
Magisk app does shows magisk is uninstalled still but I believe if I flashed onto a fully 100% read-write system it might work or there may be a solution I can't figure out.
I anbox installed a terminal apk typed su which leads me to "/system/bin/sh: su: can't execute: Permission denied" error.
Went to over to regular phablet shell and issued "sudo chmod 755 /system/bin/sh" & "sudo chmod 755 /system" etc but led to read only file system error. Any ideas or input on this? -

RE: Development testers for Anbox
@dobey Yes flashing magisk through recovery broke system didn't boot but had to try app installs fine. I am going to try and patch with magisk the anbox-boot.img and see if that pulls anything off.

RE: Set partition sizes when flashing
@dobey @doniks @Flohack @simbion I didn't have to do all this then I had full gimp , wifi tools, bunch of full linux programs running smoothly without libertine! And from what i gather it is still installed properly like this on Nexus5 and possibly other devices. A single apt-get upgrade would not immediately fill up my space because it was properly partioned from the install. This is pretty f*cked up. Through multirom oneplus it was chilling im telling you. So all I can get is 6gb for my apt-get I don't understand, that is obviously still not enough for continuous use of apt-get, apt-get is what linux is all about. I've decided to not go permenant r/w unless necessary. I'd just like to set it up dope once like most would I'm sure many here figured out before me. It seems like I am not the only one who seems unsatisfied with the answers available online right now.
Is the answer I'm looking for actually this from another thread
sudo rm -r /var/cache/apt
sudo tune2fs -m 0 /dev/loop0
-don't do apt-get full-upgrade after this it will kill anbox adb tell you device is offline
or your response from another thread here?
mkdir -p ~/aptcache
sudo mount --bind /home/phablet/aptcache /var/cache/aptsome version of this command? resize2fs -f /userdata/ubuntu.img
tried https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/771 but mount /data command put out device/resource busy even after using all umount options. I'm not a full linux guru yet but somewhat decent just was hoping someone would have the heart to give me the proper symlink/command for what I'm and it seems everyone is trying to do trying, maybe a private chat message if thats the level of suppression we're working with. I don't want to bug about any issues after the fact, reinstallation process and installer is pretty kush and easy process run really fast to reinstall. 6 gb of space by deleting files and cache within the folder is not shooting myself in the foot. I filled it full again last time I installed then what?
Can you or anyone just be like a real g keep it 100 for me not hold out on the command, you seem like a really smart dude I feel like you totally know how to do it perfectly, or anyone else I'd really appreciate it. It's. There is no clear(for me) answers to what I am asking specifically, I would really like to use all or a much larger portion of free available space not just 2 or 6gb and crash my system if I'd like to learning about the limits of the system. I understand the risk entirely please help me out not all heros wear capes

RE: Development testers for Anbox
On my oneplus one fresh install of anbox the webviewshell doesn't run but everything else does is connected to the internet with other apps. I was trying to add the key to add the gms repository to frdroid but I couldnt confirm it all the way without entering a browser on the android side. Workaround to this? Anyone find any browsers that work or a solution to this? And also has anyone managed to enable Magisk superuser yet? Is it possible to flash any zips through recovery I have not yet tried.

RE: Set partition sizes when flashing
@dobey @doniks @Flohack Multirom app no longer works for Ubuntu touch at all on Oneplus, only for sailfish other android inside the app the options no longer load in on any combo or rom/kernels. It is not false memory on oneplus they used to makes rootfs different location which was bigger. Can anyone just help me "shoot myself in the foot"? I really don't care about system updates at all honestly would rather disable them after doing once. I dont mind breaking my system no and again. Apt-get upgrade was allowed out the box never had to remount. Other devices do not have the limited space issue this one used to not have this issue when it was installed with multirom and everything always seemed fine. Is resizing the system.img file all thats necessary for my problem go away any tips on how to do this. This pretty much means the difference of making the os worth it for me, havent been wanting to use it much as is even though I used to use it all the time. Like several others said I feel this needs to be fixed in the installer for oneplus. I shouldn't be limited to 6gb on my 64gb device Thanks

Any way to Enable Native Navigation Keys or add a Navbar/ Back Button in Anbox?

RE: Development testers for Anbox
@dobey downloaded aurora and yalp store through frdroid, but have never had much success with microg in past have not done that yet but thats probably what I'll end up doing. I don't see any better method than that for full play store ability without fixing snapd unless I could figure out how to install/ run a install.sh without it, or pull off installing each non play-serviced modded apks separately through something like this https://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-10-os-f269/cobalts-official-google-apps-landing-page-965257/ but I feel like its a stretch. Anyone try those yet?

RE: Development testers for Anbox
@UniSuperBox I got anbox going good no problems. From what I gather it is flashing same kernel but simpler unified instructions? Just happened to runinto that tutorial first. This anbox is still based on android 7.1.1 right?. How did that guy get snapd running tho I wonder

RE: Set partition sizes when flashing
@dobey All I want is my space back I used to have, I don't think I'm asking for much here thats it essentially. I had installed a ubports version before also even with the multirom method as well didnt face the space issue same device. I understand how android works lol, I've been working with android/ computers for years. Bummed multirom app died out I had sailfish, touch, Tugapower 9, and cm13.1.2 all bootable before. This isn't even my main device right now but I'd like it to be daily driver like before not interested in buying another phone hence why I'm here revamping my old one. I understand its not exactly the same bootloader/ efi, partitition setup etc of course but end of the day it has the power to at the least to give me my space back. To say that not supported is bunk. I've installed entire operating systems on flash drives with less space. I just can't figure out how to symlink it right yet never had to deal with this issue before. I just can't see how it can expect to attract free linux developers this way under pretenses like that, it's putting me off already even though I do really like it, but it simply seems more cannonocized now than before. Not all ubports models have this specific space issue either it seems just some but nowhere have I seen anyone actually fix the issue.
