Feb 20th 9pm ish -- made my first pinephone call (on plasma OS 02/20th) :- ringing and talking was very tinny ,but it worked , so it can and has been done , it won't be long now , well done all you guys working on this ,all the little bits are coming together now.

I have tested it in my pro5, I had a hitch,it would get as far as the Ubuntu boot screen,whilst installing and hang there,but it was installing even so,google+ kicks me off,even going in the browser. But wifi ,cell phone,email,FB, working
not working,
file manager, gps+ maps (not linking up).2g resetting after reboot still there.
I was hoping to be able to update as we went along with improvements.
The guys need pat on the back for this,very slick so far.

put gimp and rhytmbox in, now to play with them.

If you look at the left lower corner of flash_tool pic, it shows no chip info, so you did not have adb connection.

You are right about the other Google apps,they keep track of you and,put the pieces of info back together later.
So much better soon,with good,email,browser,and so on,a lot of banking and that type of thing can be done thru a browser.

My 2 cents worth about bluetooth
I feel that Bluetooth being in good working order is of utmost importance,once 16.04 is funtioning well.
My thoughts are that when UBports gets onto Librem 5, and the bluetooth is at this standard, UBports will be dropped like a hot brick,in favor of the alternatives.

I used to drive a lot, with 2 headsets both bluetooth, one ,(set via bluetooth settings in the phone ) for calls and the other for Music
The one I used for calls was the type truckers use because the mike would only pick up your voice and no background sounds.
Just some food for thought, when you guys are thinking about bluetooth.

Try,
Pc with open terminal
Device on developer,page ( not connected )
Now switch developer mode ON
Next connect device, keep watching screen,you should get a window open,look for ALLOW click on allow.
If you get nothing
Then in terminal sudo adb devices, look for the window with allow.
you get no adb till you get this.

Reboot your device after entering developer mode, and try again from that screen.

freedom pop does not work with ubuntu

it might help you one day, if you have a backup made with twrp,kept in a safe place for a rainy day.or you may help someone else that way.

sounds like you are not getting adb connecting,you should get a small window appear in the top right corner asking to ALLOW connections to your pc .
it will be explain in support ,in one of the previous m10 posts
