RE: Frame-rate and slow animations/movies
Today I found that someone has a similar problem with the Volla Phone 22 : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/10983/volla-phone-22-very-laggy-performance/5?_=1756284607730 . Maybe both problems are caused by the same thing.

RE: Volla Phone 22 - very laggy performance
I have a similar problem with my Volla Quintus, see : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/11263/frame-rate-and-slow-animations-movies .
I am already in contact with Volla about this. But because "laggyness" or "low framerate" is quite subjective (not easy to measure in technical terms), except you can record the screen in high framerate and without aliasing, it is not easy to talk about and to discuss this problem.

RE: Frame-rate and slow animations/movies
Well, maybe not a 20 years old smartphone, but a smartphone that is 15 years old.

Frame-rate and slow animations/movies
When I watch, on my Volla Quintus with Ubuntu Touch, movies on youtube in Morph or when I simply scroll a web-page up or down, the framerate of the movie and of the scrolling-animation (I think, there are better words for this, but I hope you understand) seems slower than with my old Volla 1 and much slower than with my Fairphone 4 with Android. Because of this, watching movies makes no sense and scrolling a web-page up or down makes me feel like using a 20 years old smartphone with new software.
Does anybody else have this problem?

RE: Connecting a Volla Quintus with a monitor
On the page https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/algiz/ the wireless connection is listed as "working". So I think that someone must have tested a wireless connection between at least one monitor or monitor/adapter combination and a Volla Quintus. So at least this monitor or monitor/adapter combination works for sure without testing on my side.
Does anybody know, how I can find out, which combination was tested and thus produced the check sign at the topic "Wireless external monitor" on the page https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/algiz/ ?(Or is it unrealistic to think that this was tested? )

RE: Connecting a Volla Quintus with a monitor
@kugiigi : Thanks for your reply!
I will buy a monitor anyway in the near future and I do not need it necessarily for interactions. It would be no problem for me to buy one that is compatible with the Volla Quintus. But this implies that I can find a monitor that works or a monitor/adapter combination that works in physical shop and they let me test it with the Quintus. -
Connecting a Volla Quintus with a monitor
The device page https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/algiz/ says that the Quintus can be connected in a wireless way with a monitor.
Does anybody have any experience with connecting (in a wireless way) a Quintus with an external monitor? Or does anybody have experience with connecting a monitor with a Quintus or has any ideas about this topic?(I heard that miracast monitors are generally supported, but I am not sure if it is a good idea to buy a miracast enabled monitor and find out the possible problems or possible drawbacks later)

RE: How to record a screencast with UT?
Thanks for the answers!
I think, I will not install the "Screen Recorder" app because first, it does not record sound (but that is what I need in the first place) and second, because it needs "Full System Access" rights to be installed. I think, access to the screen, to the sound and to the user's files in the user's directory should be enough. I do not see, why full system access is needed.
In the comments of the Screen Recorder app i saw the comment "works great, thank you, no longer have to record my remote desktop". Maybe this is a solution for me. Does anybody know how to connect to a UT phone via remote desktop?
(Another solution, which would be fine for my use-case, would be to simply record only the sound. Is this possible in some way?)

How to record a screencast with UT?
How can I record a screencast with a smartphone which runs with Ubuntu Touch? I want to record the complete screen for about 20 seconds including sound.
(I own a Volla Phone Quintus with UT 20.04 OTA-9, but I think, this does not matter in this context)
