@C0n57an71n I am still able to access my Pinephone via 'telnet 172.16.42.1' on usb. A booted system (eMMC or SD) won't start the usb interface for SSH access.

@AppLee Yes, sorry. I should have specified SSH access over usb into the Pinephone. I had this facility until a July update.

Network Manager reports "WIRED-PROPERTIES.CARRIER: off", anyone know how to set it on?

A July Pinephone update/upgrade caused the issue. What process might make usb access available in 'file transfer mode' but not after a standard boot?

RE: Orange is not the only colour!
@arubislander said in Orange is not the only colour!:
Choice is much more likely to be implemented if at least one of the people wanting the choice is also able to implement it.
My assumption is that 'UBports Orange' is set in only a few places. It is no disrespect to the developers to ask their advice.

@null OK, so I guess these options are compiled into the distro? My interest is not to detract from the UBPorts identity but adapt it to my aesthetic preference. After all, choice is our common interest.

RE: Redshift for night time
sudo xrandr --output eDP1 --brightness 0.5
I use values down to 0.2 on my chromebook. Colours wash out at low values but you might be able to adjust them separately (I did this once but can't remember the details).

Orange is not the only colour!
Hi All, I bought the UBPorts edition Pinephone (delivery late May - (hopefully)).
Is there an opertuinity to change the system colours to users preference?
