Would like to hear from someone with firsthand experience using 3a XL?
Sorry, if is this somewhat of a repeat of my previous forum post. However, it sounded like no one in that thread actually used Ubuntu Touch on a 3a XL. This time I want to hear first-hand experiences from 3a XL users.
Ubuntu Touch works on both the 3a and the 3a XL. However, it sounds like the 3a is used to set default "device scaling". It also sounds like this could cause UI issues with the 3a XL, but these issues could potentially be solved in UT Tweak Tool. I don't know this for sure, because I don't have a 3a XL.
So, I would like to ask 3a XL users:
Did you notice anything strange about the UI or problems with device scaling after install?
Did you make any adjustments with UT Tweak Tool?
If so, what adjustments did you make?
Did this solve the problems? Did it cause any new ones? The 3a XL is generally considered the better phone for its larger screen and battery, but many users would probably take the 3a if it meant better support for Ubuntu Touch. So this information could be very useful for users (like myself) who are trying to decide between the two phones.
Thanks.

RE: Differences in support/compatability between Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL?
@fredldotme Can you explain "device scaling" or link to an explanation to it? I'm having trouble finding a good explanation. I'm assuming it is something to do with the screen display resolution.

Differences in support/compatability between Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL?
Previous posts seem to indicate the 3a XL wasn't the focus at the beginning of the project, but the 3a XL is supported and the phones are similar enough to use the same codebase. Is this correct?
Do both phones have the same compatibility with Ubuntu Touch? Does one have better support than the other? Are there differences in development between the two? Does development for one lag behind development for the other? Is it likely or possible future updates will break Ubuntu Touch on one but not the other?
Many consider the 3a XL to be the superior phone because of its larger screen and battery. However, some might still want to get the 3a if it has better support for Ubuntu Touch.
Thanks.
