I think, it's still needed to inproof the core-apps:
Bluetooth needs to work better with other devices. In my case: Meizu MX4 can connect to NAVIGON 70pro car-navigation, but can't make calls with it and other functions don't work.
Camera app has very low qualitiy and some settings don't work together. If I turn HDR on, then flashlight gets off, and so on.
Music app should be more comfortable and start faster. Sometimes stops playing without reason.

RE: Android apps to run in UT?
@advocatux said in Android apps to run in UT?:
@alterrnator, why do you want to use a UBports phone?
because this should be always a free choice !!!
Security & privacy are my main concerns and I do believe those are the main points to whoever is looking for a free (as in freedom) phone. As I understand, those are the goals for UBports development, and that's why I'm supporting UBports.I don't like Whatsapp. Even more, I don't want facebook's software in any of my devices. If someone wants to send me a message s/he can use Telegram, or SMS, or even email.
If you need to use Android apps, use an Android phone.
If you want security, privacy, and freedom, use UBports.
If you want something in the middle, use LineageOS.No sorry, nobody can command, what others have to use.
In my case, I just need few android apps, that never would come as UT nativ apps. I'm also not interested in Whatsapp or Facebook, but there are also some good Android apps, that I want to use with Anbox on my UT!I hope and think, this is the best way and come true.

@RudiH, as I'm understanding it this conversation can be summarised in these terms: Is it UBports a free software project or are we willing to fill it with proprietary software?
My vote is for a free software project, needless to say.
If you think only in this way... I'm sorry, I don't fellow you.
