RE: After low battery status: Nexus 6P stucks in Bootloop
@flohack @flohack Okay, I have tryed to flash without the BLOD Workaround and than it went really wrong (Android symbol with a warning triangle with exclamation mark. Under it was written "no commands").
After that I have tryed the BLOD Workaround and the special TWRP (found on XDA-developers). Now it is working, but with my hated Google Android...You have written, UT is working only with a special Kernel in this case... It sounds like much work for a "mobile" telephone box... but, is there a Kernel for this case to download?
Best regards

RE: After low battery status: Nexus 6P stucks in Bootloop
thanks for the replies. The battery should be okay - it was changed before 8 months or so. It was only strange, that this failure happens when the battery was nearly empty while UT was running... I will try to reinstall without wiping data ;O)

After low battery status: Nexus 6P stucks in Bootloop
Hallo,
UT was working properly for half a year on my Nexus 6P. Yesterday the battery was nearly empty. So I have connected it to the charger. After a while it seems it has rebooted on it's own and since than it stucks in a bootloop?!
I have entered the bootloader - but following options are not working: Reboot Bootloader, Recovery Mode, BP tools, Start (all are ending in bootloop)... After powering it off and start it again -> Bootloop. It is strange - I have not done any updates in the last view days....
Maybe someone has a tip?regards

Lapdock Motorola Atrix with Nexus 6P or Nexus 5?
Hallo,
I was reading a lot about the new lapdocks... I have the old one from Motorola. Is it possible to connect one of the Nexus devices to the motorola lapdock? Maybe someone has made a attempt ;O)

RE: Problem bluetooth on Nexus 6p
... Strange, but after some days I have tryed again to start bluetooth and it was on?! Now also bluez has started.
Is it possible the app "bluetooth file transfer" is not available for the nexus 6p? It is not listed in the OpenStore. Is there another way to send / get files via bluetooth? -
ubports installer - logfile: interesting behaviour
Hallo,
I have installed ubuntu touch on a nexus 6P and have some problems.. So I have brought as an experiment a nexus 5, that is better supported.
The installation was on the first attempt problematic (installer hangs on "preparing system-image" for over half an hour. So I have copied the log file of the ubports installer in process to the desktop to check if something happens. Timestamp from 18:43).
After sometime I have stopped the installer and checked the logfile - and now the entries differ! A whole number of entries are missing?! (last log 19:30)After that I have started the Installer again and within 5 minutes the installation process has been processed successfully (and overwritten the logfile)
Conclusion:
It would be nice, if the installer would be more verbose (what was happening behind the sceen)
It would be nice to know WHICH steps the installer has to execute, so everyone would know what should happens next.
Additional it would be nice to know the approximate time for each step, so someone would know it is working or hanging ;O)These are only ideas of a person who has less experience with a new system, but an Installer who is not working always properly should give more output.
And as a last item: it would be nice if on availible device list, it would be announced what was included in the percentage of what was working and in the percentage what was not working ;O) It was realy hard to find these infomations.
And as a last thing: ubuntu touch works realy nice on an Nexus 5 ;O)

Problem bluetooth on Nexus 6p
Hallo,
I have problems with bluetooth connection... First time I wanted to connect to another device the bluetooth switch turned automatically from on to off after a view seconds. After several reboots it stayed on. When I connect to another device they are pairing but then the file transport was unsuccessful. It seems the Nexus 6p was refusing the files. The other device gives the error "incorrect pin or passphrase wrong ".
After a reboot the nexus has the first error (turning automatically from on to off). Logs:
From file /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/indicator-bluetooth.log:
** (process:5982): CRITICAL **: rf_kill_switch_real_try_set_blocked: assertion 'tmp1 != tmp2' failed** (process:5982): CRITICAL **: rf_kill_switch_real_try_set_blocked: assertion 'tmp1 != tmp2' failed

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Yes, it works!!! I have just inserted the SIM Card and can make phonecalls ;O) Network also works.
The only thing is a high energy consumption, but I think I can live with that.
Yip yip hurray - this was my first experience flashing a ROM ;O)best regards

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Another strange thing: Ubuntu Touch is working, but when I shutdown the nexus and boot again, first comes the message " "Your device software can't be checked for corruption..." than the Google Logo and after some seconds ubunt touch starts? It seems I can't get rid of google ;O)

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Tell me, where I can find this message on a windows 10 mashine... I know "dmesg" only from linux.. I have just searched in the windows protocols for "RNDIS", but did not found anything. Where I have to look for that kind of message?

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Yes, I have installed 7.1.2
Installed TWRP to wipe "cache" and "data". I was not able to wipe data folder with fastboot (permission denied). But it worked with TWRP.
I have done all the prerequest which are mentioned in the Installer.... -
RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Okay, I've got it!!! Ubuntu Touch is working now on the Nexus 6P, BUT it was realy hard. The UBPorts Installer is not working properly. Less messages what was going on in the background. I have started the installation process 4 or 5 times, until it works.
The installer says -> transfering files although the connection to the nexus was interupted (when it is rebooting and not reconnecting).
Says "installation was succesfully" altthough it was not.I think it would be better if there was more output while processing from the installer.
The funiest thing: I was not alowed to open the logfile althouth it was in my folder! I have admin permissions, but not for that file! Now as it was really successfully I am able to open the logfile (ubports-installer.log).
Best regards

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Okay,
next day, next try. I have plugged in the nexus 6p to my computer and it was recognized. This time I have used instead of "adb" -> "fastboot" commands.
I have followed this video (but unzipped all the time all files - read comments to the video ;O) and it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMltyWYseOw
Now I have Android 7.1.2 installed and can give Ubuntu Touche the next try ;O)One question regarding USB settings: usb debugging was enabled, also file tranfer mode (is set to MFT), but where to I find the setting: "always allow this computer prompt"?
Additional I have disabled "verify apps over USB"best regards

RE: Nexis 6P stuck on Google boot screen
Hallo,
I have just the same problem with a nexus 6p... As a last solution I have tryed to delete files in partitions - nothing helped.
The ubports-installer said everything has been installed successfully, but then it stucks on ubports Recovery (Reboot System now, Ubuntu Actions and Android actions) but nothing works...
After rebooting it stucks wiht google boot screen. Now additional it is not recogniced by adb tools. I have reinstalled everything (adb tools, driver). When I plugin another android mobile adb recognices the device, but when I plugin the nexus 6 there is no device recognized.
When I am in fastboot mode no option is working - it ends up in google boot screen.
Strange is the behavior. Sometimes I can enter the fastboot mode, sometimes not - then it is sometimes the ubports recovery and sometimes Android. AND before the google boot screens comes up the messages turn up "Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader. Visit this link on another device: g.co/ABH"...
