@hoogs I had the same issue. I did not find a fix. The only thing I found out is, that it did not happen if I play the music via bluetooth. I bought a cheap bluetooth receiver for my headphones and used it like this for a few weeks.

Because I had other issues with anbox (regarding camera freezes, nexus 5), I removed anbox again.

@nightshift Thank you for your help but I tried this before and it does not fix the issue. As i mentioned above, even before I install anbox-ubuntu-touch I have the issue with the camera. So it has to be something in that anbox img that causes this issue.

@nightshift I also have 5.1.1. Do you use anbox?

I now can confirm that it happens after flashing the anbox image and before installing anbox-ubuntu-touch.

I think it has something to do with the anbox image. Maybe something in this image overrides the changes from the bug fix: https://github.com/ubports/android_device_lge_hammerhead/pull/18/files ?

I know the camera image freeze bug should be fixed wit OTA-9 (see https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2585/n5-two-annoying-camera-bugs-fixed-in-rc and https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/611), but I still have this issue.

After updating to OTA-9 and also after the uptate to OTA-10 I tested the camera and the image did not freeze. Then one day later it freezes again. All I did in between was:

• rebooted my device 2 or 3 times
• flashed the anbox image again

Am I the only person with this issue? Is there a workaround/fix for that? Does someone know the reason?

I just like to mention that I had to install wget, too. And it is not needed to use ssh. You can all do it in the terminal on your ub touch device.

I had the same issue. Disabling anbox fixed the performance issues:

anbox-tool disable

After that I saw that

anbox-tool status

said "Kernel: NOT OK"

So I repeated the steps in the documentation: https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/anbox.html#how-to-install
It did not work with the first try. So I executed the steps of the troubleshooting paragraph: https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/anbox.html#troubleshooting and then again the steps above...

After that Anbox works again
