I am trying to install and use chromium-browser under libertine. When I install it, there seems to be no way to launch it. I can't launch it from the launcher, and I can't invoke the command 'chromium' to start chromium-browser (via lish). Is there a way to get this working?

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 Yep, reflashing the android 9 image and reinstalling seems to have worked. Thanks!

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 I am not entirely sure. I installed UT on 1/30/24, which is when OTA-4 came out. It is possible that the UT installer had not yet been updated yet that day, so I may have had 16.04 briefly before I updated to 20.04 (this info is off the top of my head, I may be wrong). I would say that I likely did have 16.04 briefly, as I do remember updating to OTA-4 on UT.

@wynn1212 My version is: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 (OTA-4). Stable channel.

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 I am currently on the stable channel (I am daily driving UT) and would like to stay on the stable channel if possible. Is there any other workaround to get libertine working? I have also messed with the read-only filesystem in the past (installing stuff via apt and editing readonly files), however, I do not think that is the cause of my issues, as libertine never worked, even before i made modifications to the read-only filesystem.

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 The result of that is:

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 Not really. The last of the 'Operation details' says something like "Created base system successfuly" and then the name, distribution, status change to unknown. Exiting the libertine tab in settings and going back to the libertine tab prompts me to install libertine again.

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@thedeafenguy While it was installing, I edited the nsswitch.conf and added the extrausers to the four lines. The install still failed as I described.

RE: Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
@wynn1212 My system language is English, US (it may be possible it was changed in the past accidentally, however I deem this unlikely).

Libertine on Pixel 3a XL?
I have UT installed on my Pixel 3a XL, running the latest OTA (stable channel). When I try to setup libertine via the settings app, it downloads all the packages and sets up for 5-15 minutes, however, once done, the container just deletes itself. Is there a way to fix this?

RE: Porting Chromium to .click
@arubislander I changed the "chromium.sh" in the exec field to just "chromium". To my knowledge, I'm pretty sure I can just set a command in the Exec field, and the "chromium" command is another way to open chromium. However, upon opening the app from the launcher, nothing happens still.

Porting Chromium to .click
I have tried to port Chromium to .click (I am not very experienced with clickable and coding in general) based on this repository. So far I have had no success in my own repo. Chromium only launches when I have Chromium already installed (right now it is installed through snap). I am trying this method of installing it in hope that I can get working OSK support just like this package. I want to avoid this package because when I installed it it was too slow and the scaling was incorrect. I already had tried chromium via snap, and it worked quite well (no OSK support though). Does anybody have any suggestions for how I can get this working? Also, would it be possible to get regular chrome working in this same method? I would like to have it so I can have my profiles and settings imported over for a better browsing experience.

Wired Display for Pixel 3aXL?
I have had some success with the wireless external display (LG WebOS TV), however, I have had no success with a wired display. My attempt at trying to get a wired display was with a dock meant for the Steam Deck, with an HDMI cable plugged in. Has anybody had any success with a wired display via USB-C? If so, how would I go about getting it working?

T-Mobile 2G Status
From what I know, T-Mobile was supposed to shut down their 2G servers on April 2nd. However, I still have 2G functionality (calling). The only conclusion I can come to is that the tower I am on still has 2G servers, or there is some unknown reason why I still have 2G accessibility. Is this the case for anybody else?

RE: MMS stopped working. I updated to the newest OTA. Still broke, how would you fix?
@ezst036 Based on what you have said, it seems you are encountering an issue similar to what I had. In my case, it would select the default APN entry and it would not let me select mine. However, I found a fix and now it is working. Here is what I did:
- Remove every APN entry
- Reboot
- Add back the desired APN entry
- Select the desired APN entry

RE: Issues with two AP's
@MrT10001 My ISP allows me to use my own wifi router instead of the one provided by them. When changing routers, they have to authenticate the mac of the newly connected router. So the same restriction on mac applies to me, but only if I change the router without them authenticating it. Once authenticated, the router I want to use can be used with its mac. So for my network config, I had no need to circumvent their mac restrictions. I believe the option for mac cloning is only available if the deco is run in router mode. As stated earlier, I am running them in AP mode.

RE: Issues with two AP's
@MrT10001 In the deco app, it lists two separate access points, which are the main one and the second one, which is connected directly to the main one via Ethernet. I can't access the app right now, but I believe that in the app it lists the mac of the decos, and they are different. It is also important to note my network config: OPNSense Router -> Main deco (AP mode) -> Secondary deco (AP mode). In OPNsense I have assigned both decos static IP addresses. Each deco and the router has a different mac address and IP address, and spoofing the mac addresses to be the same may cause issues. My decos are both the M4 AC1200 models.

RE: Issues with two AP's
@Bolly The security protocol is the same because the two decos combined are one network. If I go out of range of one deco, then it will connect me to the nearest one, under the same network. So the protocol is the same. As I stated earlier, the mac addresses of the decos are different, so I think this may be causing the issues. It could be possible that when the deco network tries to switch me to a deco that I did not add the Wi-Fi network under, Ubuntu Touch sees it as a new network due to the difference in mac addresses. I see that nmcli is installed (I don't think I installed network manager manually, so this has to be here by default), so perhaps Ubuntu Touch manages the networks with nmcli? If so, then I would assume that I would need to manually add the other deco by mac address with the SSID, protocol, and password. If this is the case, then I am unsure what command I would need to invoke to add the other deco by mac address, as I have no experience with nmcli, and the documentation hasn't helped either.

Issues with two AP's
I have two AP's, both on the same network (TP-LINK decos, mesh), with the same SSID and password. However, when I am out of range of one, it tries to connect me to the other one, resulting in me having to re-enter the password. Is there a way to add the second AP by mac address so that it can automatically switch to that without me having to re-enter the password?

Run Terminal Scripts from the Launcher
Hello all,
I have installed Tailscale on my Pixel 3a XL running Ubuntu Touch through snap. However, whenever I want to start the VPN, I have to enter a long command to start it and stop it. To get around this, I tried to create a shortcut in the app launcher that, upon being opened, will run the necessary command to start Tailscale. So far, I have been unsuccessful. I already tried making a .desktop file that will run the script. When opening the app from the launcher and checking the status of Tailscale in the terminal, I see that Tailscale has not started. Does anybody have any ideas to how I can get this working?
