    • RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN

      @E2024 You will not be able to find it by searching the snap store. You will have to install it from commandline. I am working on a version that may be able to be searched from the snap store right now though. To install from command line, run:
      sudo snap install tailscale-snap2 --devmode

      Also note that you will have to use sudo when invoking the command "tailscale-snap2".

      @arubislander Hello,

      I have created a snap called tailscale-snap2, which has the latest version of tailscale. Right now, it can only be installed with --devmode (i may be wrong, i havent installed in a while) and the command "tailscale-snap2" has to be used to interact with the tailscale CLI.

    • RE: How would I revert back to the stock Fairphone 4 image?

      @Keneda I have thoroughly read the article. So, to confirm, triggering the rollback protection would only happen if I downgrade from a newer version of Android (android 12 or 13) to android 11 and then proceed to lock the bootloader? For reverting to the factory image that was present on the phone when I obtained it, how would I check what version of Android was installed from the factory on it (checking the Android version in settings won't work if updates have been applied)? Once I do figure out what version of Android was installed from the factory (indexed in the rollback protection as well), I would be able to flash that version (using fastboot), and then lock the bootloader again?

    • RE: How would I revert back to the stock Fairphone 4 image?

      @Mario-CH I have read through the "Install Fairphone OS manually", the unlocking bootloader article that goes along with it, and a bit of the "Factory Reset with installation of Fairphone OS after using LeOS" article. I understand that I can use Fastboot to reflash the Fairphone 4 stock image, but I am unsure what Android version I would need to flash (considering that UT may have an older security patch level than Android 13, and that if I flash the wrong version, roll-back protection could result in my Fairphone 4 becoming bricked).

    • RE: T-Mobile in coming call failure

      @steveoeng1 Hello,

      Currently, since there is no VoLTE support yet, calls cannot be received while on 4G. Calls can only be received on 2G. Why you are seeing a delay when calling out is that you may be on 4G. When on 4G and attempting to make a call, it appears that the phone is switching from 4G to 2G manually. I also have a Pixel 3a XL, and it appears that these issues will continue until VoLTE support is added to UT on the Pixel 3a XL. Though, I am pretty sure VoLTE support for more devices is coming very soon

      @stanwood Is it also okay to obtain a Fairphone 4 from Ebay? Specifically, this listing.

    • Where can I buy Fairphone 4?

      Hello,

      Seeing that the Fairphone 4 has many more features that I would like to have available than what I currently have (Pixel 3a XL), I am considering buying a Fairphone 4 for UT. Since I am in the U.S., I can't buy it from the official store. I searched for other places I could buy it from, and I am still unsure of where I can buy a Fairphone 4 that I can install UT on. Does anybody have any suggestions?

    • RE: RNDIS on windows?

      @MrT10001 That driver did not work, however, after looking through drivers I was able to select from the list, the "Remote NDIS Compatible Device" worked.

      @MrT10001 I have searched for a few days for drivers now and I can't find any. Do you have any suggestions on where I can find such drivers?

    • RE: RNDIS on windows?

      @MrT10001 I probably should have said this earlier, but I am on a Pixel 3a XL, on OTA-5. In device manager, I see it under "Other devices" with a name of "RNDIS" and it has a error checkmark next to it. It does not register as a connection for me on Windows.

    • RNDIS on windows?

      I am using UT Tweak Tool to enable RNDIS, which enables USB tethering. On any linux-based operating system, RNDIS works fine. However, when I wish to do this for Windows, specifically Tiny11, it does not work. I cannot seem to find any RNDIS drivers or anything else that could possibly fix this issue. Any suggestions?

    • RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 143 Call for questions

      Will there ever be a recycle bin implemented (right now there is no recycle bin)?

      Will UT ever have the filesystem not readonly (I have had to make apps into snaps as workarounds to this)?

      @UBportsNews Are there plans to add a feature to block people by number on messages and calls?

    • Issues with sending messages on Pixel 3a XL

      When I use the message app, sometimes when I try to send a message (no mms, just a regular message to someone), it takes a while to send, even while I am on LTE. However, while it is still trying to send, I can still receive messages from other people, but if I attempt to send messages, they still will take a while to send. Eventually, they do send, but this is becoming a bit of an issue now.

    • RE: UBports Q&A 141 call for questions

      I have a few questions:

      Are there plans to add support for group chats (how they would work on Android/iPhone; right now on UT, it is just so you can mass send a message to multiple people) to the message app?

      Are there plans to add the ability to edit network settings of a saved wifi network (there are no settings to edit from within the settings app)?

      Are there plans to add support for passkeys?
