      @ok-what
Hi, just seeing your post now,

I installed successfully by using the snap installer and a brand new usb cable (I tried many other old cables), outlined in another thread I posted.

Hope that helps you install, let me know if you're still having trouble.

@Flohack I will try that today.

What a day. I got some support from one of the OG UBports rockstars 🙂

@Flohack Many thanks for the quick reply.

When I boot into recovery and through adb run df the data partition is showing 12.1GB.

Here is a screenshot of the output:

    • Oneplus One 64GB model, fresh install reporting only 15.8GB storage.

      Hi All,

After a fresh wipe and install my 64GB Oneplus One is reporting only 15.8GB total storage in System Settings>About>Storage.

Is this a known issue? Is there some way to check the disks size and unpartitioned space, like with gparted in linux?

I have run the parted and df commands in the terminal app - should I post a screenshot of the outputs?

      Thanks in advance folks.

    • RE: Oneplus One install failed: cannot flash Ubports recovery

@Lakotaubp well done to you for the work you put in on the forum - I've read a lot of installation problem posts over the past few days where you are helping out.

I've installed Ubports on a family member's phone and they have been using it successfully as a daily driver for the last couple of years, and have contributed to the foundation, so it's great to see the project go from strength to strength with the pinephone and everything else.

    • RE: Oneplus One install failed: cannot flash Ubports recovery

@Lakotaubp I tried a fresh install of latest mint 19.3, trying the deb and appimage installers. It didn't work.

Then I removed the deb installer and installed the snap installer and tried that with the usb cable of a friend that had just arrived. Something different happened - the Ubports recovery was now installed but the next step of downloading UBports to the phone was not happening.

After retrying the installation several times it started to push Ubports to the phone but was losing the usb connection and halting with the error message every 30 seconds, so I just clicked "try again" each time and the process completed. Success, finally.

I suppose the issue from the start may have been usb cable, but I honestly tried 4 or 5 different cables and even my friends brand new one was losing connection.

Unusually, Ubports is now showing the phone as having 16GB total storage when it is the Oneplus One 64GB model.

Thanks for your input @Lakotaubp, I'll mark this as solved.

edit: How do I mark the post as solved? I think I read in another thread that new users cannot do that.

    • RE: Oneplus One install failed: cannot flash Ubports recovery

@Lakotaubp Using Mint 18.3 and have tried several different cables.

When I run the installer (I have tried some older versions of the installer as recommended in other posts on oneplus one install problems) it reboots to bootloader and hangs when trying to flash the firmware.

    • RE: Oneplus One install failed: cannot flash Ubports recovery

@Lakotaubp Yes, adb and fastboot both show the device. The install still fails. What's the next troubleshooting step?

    • Oneplus One install failed: cannot flash Ubports recovery

Hi All, it seems there have been a few people having trouble installing on the Oneplus One recently.

Could someone point me towards the manual installation instructions? They don't seem to be on the site.

adb/fastboot is working ok, I have tried many installer versions but cannot get the ubuntu recovery to install.

    • RE: Oneplus One failed

@domubpkm Thanks for posting that - it seems a few of us are having trouble with the installer and having a manual install option is valuable.

I ran the command in fastboot mode and got the following message:

Get https//system-image.ubports.com/channels.json: unsupported protocol scheme ""

Could you point me in the right direction?

    • Oneplus One installer hangs on "flashing firmware"

      Hi guys,

Longtime user of UBPORTS and donated years ago. Also have a family member using it as their daily driver, also on a Oneplus One.

My Oneplus One developed an issue so I got a new motherboard installed. Absolute nightmare trying to find someone to do that btw.

I have now installed the latest baseband/radio/modem firmware as per a post here on the forum. Then I installed the latest Teamwin recovery. Then I installed the latest version of Lineage.

The problem is that I cannot now get UBports to boot.

When using the installer, if I tick the box "Bootstrap Flash system partition using fastboot" the installer hangs on the "flashing firmware" stage.

If I leave that box unticked and install with the "wipe" box ticked the installer works, sends the files to the device, the installer says Ubports successfully installed, the device reboots to recovery. When I reboot the device again it just reboots to Lineage, ubports was never installed.

I have tried the .deb installer and the appimage installer. I cannot install snaps on this system, it is an old version of mint and I cannot update it currently.

Fastboot and adb see the device fine, and the device is fastboot unlocked.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Great work as always folks and the project really looks like it is going from strength to strength with the pinephone etc.
