Question: Are there any thoughts/discussions going on (or that have gone on in the past) about widening the number of apparmor permissions to allow for more fine-grained control of things? Some examples: Permission to disable app suspend so the user doesn't have to do it themselves. Permission to start background services. Could maybe be implemented similar to read/write paths with the ability to execute specific commands.

hello we have an exchange about the indicator area. we propose 3 questionning way : Is it a good idea to add a usb menu : to connect the device (charging/file exchange/connection sharing) ? we found there is too much icons. so,what about 'group' some indicators by familly ? link : for usb link, bluetooth... interface : keyboard, rotation, (external display in the futur) the usage of the file icon seems not clear : no many apps use it. is it pertinent to group it with somthing else ? thanks. https://forums.ubports.com/topic/12034/usb-parameters-on-headband

@UBportsNews @applee Thanks for doing the show all alone! My answer to your question is, that the soundeffects like applause, fanfares etc are funny, but the music is distroying my concentration. Maybe at least a little more loud would be a solution...

On Q&A 181, Lee said that recent devices are harder and harder to port. Why is that the case? Shouldn't it be easier with Treble? Or are there some new limitations, such as locked bootloader?

Not sure if the article is still valid for 24.04 noble. Tried it, didn't notice any difference. Then I discovered app UT Tweak Tool which seems more handy than typing config files. In 24.04 noble, is there any way, even programmatically, to increase or decrease the different text sizes individually, as well as increase and decrease the icon sizes separately from scaling the text(s)? The scaling in app UT Tweak Tool scales everything, causing some text in some apps not being visible if the scaling is big. The default text size is quite small. In desktop mode, it seems that the scaling is different, but if adjusted it adjusts the scaling even in non-desktop-mode. Somehow, it would be desirable to have two different text(s) and icon scalings, one for the device itself standalone, and one scaling when connected in desktop mode. Usually, there is one text size for WindowTitles, one for Documents, one for Interface, one for Monospace and then there is usually a TextScaling factor that adjusts all text sizes (fonts) without having to tinker with each one individually. Hinting and AntiAliasing is usually also part of what you can adjust.
