But you raise a valid point, I actually share the same concern and raised a similar topic (before reading your question) to the board of trustees. I hope we can make things better on this front. But it's a complex topic and it takes time to find the right answer.

You folks are very patient with some of the live Q&A questions. If you ever think it needs a moderator or something, let us know. According to the question @domubpkm : Will the milestones be updated to the actual release schedule? These dates and milestones are outdated but in earlier days it was a nice place to look at which OTA will land at aprox. what time.

Not exactly, Waydroid is a container, in this it is different to WINE on the desktop. WINE is a translation layer for system calls. Waydroid is actual Lineage OS running in a container. For your use case, this would mean having it running in the background constantly, which currently would drain your battery very quickly. Of course you are the only person who can decide if these tradeoffs are worth it.
