Could I get a step by step guide on how to install Transmission via libertine

@advocatux is available as an app in the open-store, @lakotaubp? I'm downloading him immediately... He's far more useful than the likes of Siri and Alexa!

Again, I have no idea if transmission will work in a container, but the above steps should help you to find out.
I have used transmission in the past on UT and I can confirm it works (worked) quite nicely. Transmission also offers a web interface, so you can use it from the touch enabled browser!

@3arn0wl now there's a concept . UBports Ubuntu Touch with @advocatux voice control assistance.
-
@lakotaubp lol
-
@advocatux Have you been approached by the Mycroft people about doing the voice recordings yet? It makes perfect sense to @Lakotaubp and me!
-
@3arn0wl thank you (lol)
Sometime ago I recorded some sentences for the Mozilla's Common Voice project (https://voice.mozilla.org/en) so who knows? Maybe that could be the first step to a successful career as robotic voice

OK guys I did try a while back but I've tried again. I couldn't create a container using the libertine gui so I did via terminal.
Here's what I did:
libertine-container-manager create -i test
This went away and installed and configured a bunch of stuff and took ages.
libertine-container-manager install-package -p transmission-gtk -i test
Now if I do a libertine-container-manager list I get:
test
xenial-4
transthen if I do
libertine-container-manager list-apps
I get nothing returned
If I attempt this again
libertine-container-manager install-package -p transmission-gtk -i test
I get
libertine-container-manager:175: Error: install_package(): package 'transmission-gtk' is already installed.
Any help guys? Thanks

What happens if you dolibertine-container-manager list-apps -i test? -
Now if I do a libertine-container-manager list I get:
test
xenial-4
transone of those three container is the defaul
then if I do
libertine-container-manager list-apps
now you are asking lcm to list the apps in the default containter
I get nothing returned
with the other commands you explicitly specify container "test"

It just goes to a new terminal line.

Huh. That surprises me. Is it an option to remove all three containers and start over with just ONE container?
-
Nope just goes to a new terminal line.
Is there another torrent app in the repo that could be used?
-
@fishfingers44
I am sure there are:libertine-container-manager -c 'apt search torrent'should get you going. 'deluge' might be worth a try maybe.But I am wondering if you would be able to install any packages at all in your container.
