@doniks I've just tested the alfa release on Pro 5 and it seams that all works, but you can't see the content of the received email. Only the header. Setup, notifications works just fine. No crashes so far.

The status of the investigations concerning the multi part mails is, that dekko2 has a database in
.cache/dekko2.dekkoproject/database/qmailstore.dbto keep track of the mails. In that database it keeps the meta data and also the path to the file in which the actual mail is stored, for example:/home/phablet/.cache/dekko2.dekkoproject/mail/1534752857.4528.nEvJp. If its a multi part email theres a directory additionally, then called1534752857.4528.nEvJp-partswith a file for each part. The directory is there also in xenial, but its empty, so the files for the parts are missing... So the next step is to investigate why dekkod fails to put the files there i think. I didn't get where dekkod puts his log yet... I had the impression, that its log messages do not end up in the usual place... I think i can solve this one soon, but even then, there are two other bugs waiting to get attention:- a few html mails are not displayed properly
- some time dekko thinks that a single part message was multi part resulting in a crash
I actually "promised" (Rudi) to have dekko ready by end of august - thats seems to be a tough goal now...

Update: the multi part mails do not show up problem is not competely understood, but found and at least workarounded... Next most important thing is to find out why dekko sometimes thinks single part mails were multi part...

@all If you tried the alpha make sure to reboot and clear the cache (.cache/dekko*). After you will need to setup the account again.
@Lakotaubp after all we saw, it sounds pretty much like a race condition in account setup/initial account sync. hum... Strange that account setup seems to work better with the alpha for you, Joan and Rudy (all oneplus one btw...).

This is awesome! I cleared the cache, rebooted and then installed the new beta version. I had to re-add the accounts, but it works good so far. Excellent job!
Pro5 by the way. -

Are you authorized, could you put your work on the openstore so as to avoid to reinstall parameters at every update ?

Openstore should have stable versions only otherwise we ruin the user experience. So only minor glitches allowed. Account setup should be fluent

I well tested DEKKO 2 on OPO : notifications ok, multi part mails ok.
For now, the more annoying bug is

I have to make do as maybe others users when words are with accented characters.
If LATER WHEN you will have a little more time you could try to find a solution..

@hummlbach Tested on Pro 5. The content if the email is readable again great. When opening Sent, Trash(probably any others) folders and selecting one email to open, Dekko crashes. But Inbox works fine. And Dekko becomes really fast. Great work!!!

After I terminate the account wizard, it seems dekkod is not running properly. No mails in Inbox and Outbox is not sent, all mails are queued. How can I reset this thingie...

@flohack Hi.
I have had just te problem of mails not sent : they were putted in Draft folder.
So i tried : restart dekkod in terminal before opening dekko and it seems to solve my problem.

@flohack It seems when you have installed the alpha before and then installing the beta you have this problem. I have wipe my device and install only the beta. Then it works here i can read every email and send emails also.
