Network (and Wi-fi) Indicators problem
-
Yeah. I even worked perfectly. The problem occurred when I did (some days ago) update the Ubploys App.
It did not shut down the Ubport update, so I restarted the phone and the problem appeared .....
PS Thanks for the signal, I correct the error -
@GIEMME what is "Ubploys App"?
-
@advocatux Ubport App.... sorry
-
This is what I see....!
and
-
@GIEMME but that app doesn't do anything really, just shows some text and little more.
Did you reset the phone?
-
@advocatux Yes, I know. It's a simply page with some links. I think my problem was to restart the phone before the app update was completed
-
@GIEMME reset the phone. If that doesn't work, empty .cache directory and reset the phone.
-
@advocatux The reset of the phone was what I wanted to avoid by not having to reinstall all the apps and import contacts directory, various wi-fi passwords, and so on.
-
@GIEMME no, I don't mean you need to reinstall UBports, I do mean you must restart your phone.
-
@advocatux Is what I did many times, but without results ....
-
@GIEMME did you delete the cache?
-
@GIEMME Did you leave the phone off for half a minute before starting it again? Sometimes that can help because all chips in the phone loose their power and therefore their state.
Otherwise I suggest suggest doing backup with rsync as described in the wiki. After that re-install and restore.
-
@hans1977se Yes, I try... but nothing....
Thanks -
At the end I've reset my phone... now it's OK. Thanks to all for support.

I had this exact problem this week. I know what caused it for me. I used Tweakgeek to delete de External drive app on my Nexus 5 because there is no SD slot on the Nexus 5 and I didn't want to see the icon anymore.
My phone started to overheat and use battery like crazy. I restarted the phone and there was no more network indicator like in your screenshots. Also, for some reason all my unused space started to fill up (with error logs I bet).
I updated from the legacy channel to OTA 1 and it didn't resolve the problem. I flashed the phone to OTA 1 and now it's resolved.
