Maybe it would be possible, if device under android go have same OS "tree" than normal android device, but, as i tried to tell you, go devices have very few ram and hardware power, so it's not a good choice to port uTouch on it as it could be slow/laggy.If you're not confortable with english, you can use deepl translator website.
And i'll add unlike what some told to you, i use uTouch as my only smartphone device since 6 years without problem so this OS is a good option to replace gafam ones, and as a matter of fact, for me, it's the only daily device usable choice.

@alexiuscrane
Forget about Meizu unless you find a used Ubuntu Touch native MX4 or PRO5 to buy because it is almost impossible to install uTouch on a android native one (bootloader locked with steel concrete).If you want to have a cheap uTouch device daily usable, choose Nexus 5 or One Plus One.

@keneda Good sugestion. Pixel 3a was picked up for under $100 USD. I think i found a nexus 5 for about $70 on ebay in the US.

@trwidick
You can find it even cheaper, at least in France, i bought my spare one (lot of scratchs on it, but screen ok) for 40ā¬ sending fees included. -
@trwidick then buy a polarcell battery at the same time (about 40$) on ebay. It almost doubles the battery life and BELIEVE ME it's worth it
-
@keneda Dang thats awsome.
-
@emphrath WOW, it's 16.9ā¬ on polarcell webstore!

@alexiuscrane said in Brand new phone with UBP ?:
Is this still possible today? I am running Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, so that could be another way to go.
Easiest way on Ubuntu or Windows for installing uTouch is using UBports installer.
If your questiin was about installing uTouch on a phone that don't have a port already availiable, there is no easy way to do so.

@alexiuscrane If you look around here, you can get some idea of what you're getting into. https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports
