@domubpkm Can't say about Volla but get very same on OP5 when using internet radio and plugin earphones. Screen on fine, off stutter time. Only tried today, will try music app shortly.
-
Just to clarify: this problem even if 'avoid app interruption' music is enabled in UTTT.
And quite similar to this 'old' issue fixed: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1482

@domubpkm First thing I tried and lock screen set to never, but as soon as screen goes blank it starts.
-
@domubpkm Can confirm same thing with music player on OP5 so not just Volla. Might be best moved to support if your happy with that.
-
@lakotaubp You have exactly for this ? : '' SECOND piece of music played next, not the first one '' when screen off.
If yes, you can because i I can change the title but I don't think I can change the category... Thanks. -
@domubpkm Moving it now and yes first piece plays fine, second one stutters. (though not 100% first one played correctly all the way through as got interupted).

It works fine on my Xperia X but I think I also have this issue on my tablet. Curently playing music plays fine even after locking but once it tries to play the next one, it stutters until it completely stops or it just stops. The port of this tablet isn't complete though so it may be due to that as well. It's good to note that it's Halium 9 so maybe this issue is unique to it.

@kugiigi That helps. Trying to see how far this goes and try and stop any spread.

@lakotaubp said in Second piece of music chopped (or playback stopped) when screen is off:
OP5 when using internet radio and plugin earphones
Not this problem on the Volla. Concerns only the music app (with or without earphones). No problem with the morph-browser radio links or the webapps radios or the very useful new radio app on OTA-18.
-
@domubpkm On the OP5 webapp radio or apps from OpenStore stutter like mad. Tried again today.

I opened https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1798 if somebody want to put some comments.

Solved on the Volla RC 30. Thanks @mardy
