Why liberapay account for UBports is needed

Your are right, sorry for the approximation: more than 80% UBports users are currently europeans but only 64,8 % of current UBports users are citizens of countries where euro is the legal currency.

Wonderfull, it seems Marius has already made the first step with the creation of UBports Liberapay account: https://liberapay.com/UBports/
The next step is officialy confirm and promote via a liberapay banner in front page of Ubports website and in all other donation pages.

Marius is the main UBports developer...Anyway, I asked the question for the next community update.

And I'd be interested in an discussion about Patreon vs Liberapay in the sense of visibility. You see, asuming Patreon has more visibility and people now move to Liberapay it might look odd for newcomers as the will look into Patreon only, no?
Althoug opening up to Liberapay is in my point of view essential due to the nature / idea of this funding page, I am a bit hesistant to move donation to it and therefore dropping of Patreon. -
IMHO, If the ethical reasons are first for you, points 1. and 2. of my first post, then the choice of Liberapay should prevail.
Similarly, if economic rationality, point 3. and 4. predominates and the euro costs you less.
We can hope that there will be visibility for donations via Liberapay in a future, if my request to promote this system in the same way as others is taken into account.In other cases, it may make sense to use other means of giving.
