Reminder that if you have a supported device in postmarketOS, but it doesn't have a maintainer, you should consider listing yourself as one to keep it supported.

If your device does have a maintainer, but you want to keep up with it's development and pitch in to help with packaging, consider adding yourself as a Co-Maintainer. The more the merrier!!!And you don't necessary need technical knowledge to maintain. As long as you have the device and are willing to learn, adding yourself is never a bad idea.#PostMarketOS

Also i just noticed the cute logo the docs repo has on GitLab, it would be nice if we actually had that on the docs website itself!!The mobile layout could maybe use some improvements too if any web developers wanna have a go at it

I've been bugged by some of the #postmarketOS #pmbootstrap subcommand names for a while, so I decided to finally write my thoughts down in an issue: https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmbootstrap/-/work_items/2745

In preparation for daily driving #MobileLinux I've been thinking a lot about what must be done for reliable and power-efficient push notifications.

@valpackett As for FDs, it seems easier to set a one shot CPU limit than trying to keep track of usage over time. In other words, "the push notification adds N seconds to your app's execution time budget and once you're out you're out" is easier (both conceptually and in terms of implementation) than trying to tune some complex resource restriction that applies continuously. It also seems to fit better with a "Doze" like model where we wake apps periodically to let them do background work (2/2)

@esoteric_programmer @YaLTeR @cas @alexia It would deal with the service failing or crashing, but it wouldn't catch logic bugs like that

The mobile-config-firefox documentation has been split up into multiple pages (from mostly a single README.md file), was updated, and is now available at https://docs.postmarketos.org/mobile-config-firefox/ for comfortable reading.

@codemonkeymike Nice, I used on of these with Arch Linux ARM as a study computer when studying in libraries for about two years, until I upgraded to the RK3399 C101P. Having a small, light, fanless computer was really useful.
