So I updated my vollaphone 22 to focal ota-9. The latest update said it has volte, but the toggle switch won't let me turn it on. Is it because I have a Verizon Sim card in it and it just doesn't support that network ?
I don't currently have another Sim to try yet.

Got a Volla Phone 22 with UBports preinstalled very recently myself, following the news that VoLTE was coming to it starting OTA-9. e.g.
          https://ubports.com/blog/ubports-news-1/ubuntu-touch-q-a-161-3956

Now on 24.04-1.0, my carrier dropped their 3G support, and I found out the hard way that there were quite a few asterisks attached to the announcement?

I've seen mentions of "Android 12 port" and Halium (on the device page), which is beyond my knowledge about mobile phone development. What's the actual status?

          Thanks.

I also have a vollaphone 22 on Noble 24.04-1.0, but to me it is quite unclear if voLTE is supposed to be activated or not, because in the it just says "4G calls (VoLTE)" but without any switch and the area is not clickable, so I don't know if it is supposed to mean that it's on or off? And I have no real way to test it for sure, weather my calls are voLTE or normal.

The only thing is that few month ago I received messages from my operator to encourage me to activate voLTE, but this was before latest Ubuntu Touch upgrades.

I would like to know more.

On my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro), in System Settings/Mobile
              I can check 2G/3G/4G
and in Operator and Access Point I can check 4G Calls (VoLTE)
              (not always immediate)

@pparent I just understood that Volla is rolling out Halium 12 to every Volla 22 starting from 24.04-1.1 RC 1 and Volte will start to work with that on Volla 22 if i well understood. @peat_psuwit explains it to me because of a question i asked about Volte.

OK, did you change the update channel to RC?

https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/volte.html if the toggle is unavailable then the device lacks support (at least for now)

                      I hope OP sees this.

@PunkFlamingo Yes but for a working Volte, this condition will have to be met :
