        I have 2 text editors, Notebook and Tedit. But they have no "File/Open" option allowing me to find the file I want to edit. I can find it in File Manager, but it doesn't offer the option to open the text file with either Notebook or Tedit. I couldn't find "file associations". I viewed my file in the terminal with nano but the displayed keyboard doesn't have the "control + letter" option needed to save any modification.

        I read advice saying to copy the file to a pc for modifications and then copying it back on the tablet. I guess I could do that but it's not a very satisfying method.

        I mean files in text format, not necessarily .txt files. The one I was aiming for is a .conf

            The keyboard in the terminal has the ctrl commands for nano. Press the hamburger menu and hold your finger on it to navigate through the different ctrl options.

              @Alain Tedit only shows up under "Open with another app", when the file ends with ".txt". So a work around would be to temporary rename the file:

              1. file.conf -> file.conf.txt
              2. edit with tedit
              3. file.conf.txt -> file.conf

              Another method would be to use nano in the terminal.
