@vverve ubports installer to lito version as unsupported will work ? And, is daily 24.04.2nn the version I want, for best chance at VoLTE functionality ? Or I need to do something special ?

@rocket2nfinity you are right , there is a tmo to global already patch 10.5.3 that install thru msm that i finaly got to work , no pain , nonetheless the need to go back to m$ pc. Test on second devices ,said tmo locked, forever.. so wifi only, no ut , i'll still tweaks it, good for another topic or xda, no here.
But ut install on lito works , on carrier/bootloader unlocked device.

@vverve It's been a while since I have had to do it, but, you can network unlock a network locked device by removing a system file via adb at first boot. It is a temporary fix that will disappear when android is updated. Whether it will work after flashing UT, I do not know. If it does, it should be persistent, since halium upgrades only happen every now and then.

Search XDA for unlocking network locked devices

Oneplus just informed me "Ebay is NOT a Oneplus authorized reseller, and Oneplus will NOT provide the bootloader unlock code".

Unless someone has a solution, I will try to return the phone.

T-Mo, Carrier Unlocked as received from ebay seller.
Phone allowed me to get the 64 digit number to send them to request the token.
The token request page took a couple tries (I mis-typed one of the 64 characters, and the page complained, etc).
So, I thought it was simply a matter of waiting 7 days.
Then I read that some people tried contacting tech support & got quick positive result, so I did that on 8th day. Then waited a day, replied, waited a day. etc. Thought I might be chatting with AI system (or overloaded human), since it asked for info I had already sent, more than once.

To follow topic , the only glitche i get is having to reboot so that updater ''hook'' to wifi , look like a ''standard'' procedure here .

@vverve Does UT use a 'location' setting like Android, so that it automatically prefers WiFi over cellular, When at home (or other good WiFi place) ?

@oldbutndy If you mean that it turns WiFi on/off depending on your location, then no. If WiFi is on it'll connect automatically to known networks and, when connected, prefer that over cellular. But nothing I know of to trigger WiFi specifically based on location.
