Cannot install new apps
-
@gpatel-fr now it started installing out of the blue but the animation keeps going. So, it installs but the animation still appears.
-
sorry but it's not clear to me what happens from your description.
For me at first a wide green button 'Install' is displayed. When clicked, at first a grey line flashes briefly, then it's replaced by a line that turns progressively blue tracking the download progress. When it's finished, the line flashes briefly (I assume that's when the installing process is done) and finally the green 'Open' button is displayed.
From what you say, the 'Open' button would be displayed while the blue progress line is still advancing ? It seems impossible since both UI items are displayed at the some position.

No. Keeps there forever. Even that if it installs the app.

I spoke too soon. The installation of apps went back to the same: when i go to store and choose the app, never appears the install. Only the blue line animation keeps going on forever. Now i am using the UT 24.04 (24.04-1.2). -
@Kadafi can you navigate to the open store in the browser: https://open-store.io, and download one of the apps you are trying to install? Maybe it is an issue with internet restrictions where you are at?
-
@arubislander i can open the webpage, search for chromium for ut, click install, it opens the open store app and stays again with the eternal blue line. There is definitely tons of bugs in these apps or in the UT. This far from normal! I only have the judicial country wide blockers! Like several Russians sites are blocked in entire EU.
-
err, @arubislander asked you to download, while you clicked on 'install'. That's not the same thing and clicking to download allows precisely to test if the mere act of downloading is blocked or if the downloading works fine but UT crashes while installing.
Once the file is downloaded (a file with extension of '.click') it's possible to install it by navigating to the folder and selecting it. UT asks you then to open with the store. This separates the 2 operations that the standard store installer bundles into one (for convenience, but it makes debugging more difficult).
