Cannot install new apps
-
@Kadafi
aren't you on stable? There shouldn't be daily updates on stable.
EDIT: my bad. Had you confused with another user. -
No problem. Any way: Ubuntu-Touch 24.04 (24.04-1.x (2026-03-20))
-
@Kadafi Where are you located geographically? Does your ISP implement blocking of certain IP addresses?
-
@arubislander i am in Portugal. By law all ISP block some IPs. Which IP is used for the installation? I can check it.
-
Did you try to install over Wifi vs Mobile data?
-
@pparent I tried both ways, however both end up going throw the same provider.
-
Would you have any way to try on another wifi network (public wifi, at a friend) with another provider?
-
I have a FP5 and the 2FA app you are talking about installs without problem. Maybe it's because I'm on stable while by using daily you are exposing yourself to any fleeting update bug.
The usual cause of this problem is network error. Try to download the click by hand using Morph QT6 browser and visiting open-store.io.
If you can't download it, either your network is blocking somehow or your install is hosed (I have already warned you against this possibility, I'm still not convinced by your counter-arguments...)
If you can, navigate to the resulting file and try to install it from there using the store app. -
@gpatel-fr now it started installing out of the blue but the animation keeps going. So, it installs but the animation still appears.
-
sorry but it's not clear to me what happens from your description.
For me at first a wide green button 'Install' is displayed. When clicked, at first a grey line flashes briefly, then it's replaced by a line that turns progressively blue tracking the download progress. When it's finished, the line flashes briefly (I assume that's when the installing process is done) and finally the green 'Open' button is displayed.
From what you say, the 'Open' button would be displayed while the blue progress line is still advancing ? It seems impossible since both UI items are displayed at the some position.
