Dekko 2 inbox issue
-
@isolated-thinker Yes its on gitlab not github (anymore?). The issue @elastic was referring to is this one I think: https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/66
-
I think I may of missed something here, but I have not been able to use Dekko2 on my updated devices for a bit now. I was under the impression that Dekko2 was not working on 16.04 currently?
-
@UKPhil i asume @Isolated-thinker was asking about Dekko 2 on 15.04...
Regarding 16.04: In the meanwhile, there is an unofficial Dekko 2 "ubports community build" for 16.04, but you can't really call it "working" yet... (See the other forum thread linked by @advocatux above.) -
@hummlbach thanks for that and put my mind at rest.
Think I will have a look at the build and see how I go with that as I have been missing a good email client.
-
Yes, I am on 15.04 Bacon.
Thank you for the links, and I will check them out when I have the opportunity.
I did find, tucked away, my real inbox. I had to go to, the menu with the 3 dashes, at the bottom the + at the folder, personal, inbox.
Thank you all for the help, and I will check out to thinks.
Thanks again!

@isolated-thinker I had a similar problem on my BQ Aquaris E4.5 (running 15.04 (r3) ) earlier this year and found the solution here
https://gitlab.com/dekkoproject/dekko/issues/66I opened the web page on the phone and installed the click file (or whatever it is called!) posted by Dan Chapman .
Since then I've been accessing email on three accounts with no problems.

I installed the click file and rebooted my OPO and it did not work. I also tried installing and not restarting, which did not work. I also installed and then updated Dekko from the App Store, still did not work.
I'm starting to think it's me at this point, lol!

@isolated-thinker Hi.
As it said for this issue :@dpniel · 7 months ago
Owner
@userj1 give this one a try but make sure to run restart dekkod before starting dekkoSo, run restart dekkod in terminal.
Try this and run dekko 0.1.6 again.Good luck !
-
I have tried to download via the terminal and all i get is 'command not found'
-
@isolated-thinker Been wondering about your problem with Dekko and trying to remember all the steps I took before it started working properly on my BQ phone. Trouble is the memory ain't what it used to be...and I tried so many things it's hard to keep track anyway!
I too use gmx. On phone: Dekko, account settings, incoming server, port 993. Enable imap idle toggled to green.
Longshot, but I suppose you did install the click that was supposed to work better of the two versions posted in the gitlab thread?
-
It pays to read everything, lol!
The entry form 6 months ago that does as follows," Dan Chapman @dpniel · 6 months ago
OwnerRecent reports on telegram would suggest the last click wasn't a solution for everyone.
dekko2.dekkoproject_0.1.6_armhf.clickseems to be alot better and should be a much more reliable solution to this bug."
I installed that click and restarted Dekko 2 and it now operates as intended!!!!!!
Thank you everyone for your help, I honestly do appreciate it!!!!!!

Is anyone of you using this "all inbox" fix and not able to delete mails?
-
@hummlbach Deleting mail on Dekko works fine on bq phone.

As far as I can tell, I am able to delete emails on my OPO with this fix.
