@DansLeRuSH Hi Frank, I know what you mean about being pissed off. I was very cross at the time, but I guess I understand that whole of the rest of the Ubuntu product line was being held up by UT and they needed to move on.
uNav is great for Japan mapping data, much better than Google. I remember I took Maps.me with me last time, but I'll take uNav next time.

How can you trust that an app really won't send some company your location data, when you tell it not to? The only way you can trust a program not to do something it isn't supposed to do is if it is free software. ~ RMS

Hello, I'm Jerry. Don't have technical knowledge, just trying to use technology. Most of all leave the interference of the big companies. I have been using Ubuntu 18.04 for a few months and now will use touch when my Nexus 5 arrives. It feels so good to be free.

                              Hello all together,
I'm on Linux since the end of '90's. I'm not a programmer or software coder. I'm building websites and manage some web and mailserver's. Sometimes I make graphics if I need them for apps or websites or Linux TV receivers.
I'm using iOS since 2008 as my mobile OS. I never used android devices for personally/daily usage but I've a testing devices with lineage. I was always looking for Linux Projects on Smartphones and followed the development.
Now I cant wait no more and decided to get a device. After all BH versions of pinephone was gone, last week was a good one with new UBports version and I orders one of them.
To get some "practice" I got an old Nexus5. Last Day's I'm trying to get familiar withe the file system structure and looking for the theming possibilities. By the way I tested some Anbox and Libertine options

So, thx for your work. Have a nice time

                                      HelloWorld,
my first distribution was Slackware on the middle of '90's. I'm a Java/Kotlin software programmer. this year I try to learn Rust, and when i saw it is possible to create native app with rust or Golang, I bought a nexus5 to install ubports \o/

I am interested in exploitation of OSM data/ geolocation app, dev tools, and many more things.

my first helloWorld app will be an assistant (a contextual touchBar ) of my laptop.

@Opolork thank you! I ordered my UBports PinePhone the other afternoon, now the excruciating wait for it to ship is upon me. I’ve been using iOS for a while, but have always wished for an open source option. I use a NanoPC T4 for my personal computer and am looking for OS choices to use on its ARM64 Proc.
It would be amazing if I could run ubtouch on each of my devices!

@mackristof Same for me, Slackware 2.0 precisely and its 18 disquettes. A lot of patience and knowledge was needed at this time to install GNU/linux.
