Back to 15.04

Let us go back to the 15.04 old version with the UBPorts Installer, please. A pity, but 16.04 is a failure in BQ M10 HD. My tablet is my main tool, and now Iβm in a big trouble.

@dissapointedbcn hi, can you explain in detail what kind of issues are you experiencing?
Other users are reporting that everything is working fine and that they're happy with their tablets running xenial
-
@dissapointedbcn Yes same as @advocatux said can you explain further. My m10 fhd is working fine. Yes there are bugs but no more than affect other devices. Are,you now missing specific apps etc. Lets see if we can help.

@lakotaubp
mine works fine also, on latest DEV.
(not much space left UT, is huge ,only1.3 g left) -
@marathon2422 have you tried to remove cache files?
-
@marathon2422 Mines dev as well yea not a lot if space left.
-
@advocatux
I was going to look up how to do it, but not yet. -
@advocatux Can you let us know the best way to do that please.: ) When you have time.

The main problem is malfunction of desktop apps in the new libertine container. Any option is opened in a new window. Impossible to work with gimp or libreoffice, essentials for me. Firefox crashes as soon as it starts. I trust you will be able to repair these issues, but I just want a way to return to the OTA-3 version because the UBports Installer only installs OTA-5. The capability to run desktop apps is what makes this OS soo cool and unique, and would be a mistake loose it.

I flashed 16.04 OTA5 Stable into one of my BQ E4.5 a few days ago. While I do not have any reason to return to OTA3, I support the idea to be able to keep any version locally on the system where the updater runs and flash any of these versions into the device.

@lakotaubp you can remove anything in cache, that's by definition, although the other day I read that Dekko2 is putting some things there that don't belong to that place actually. I don't use it, so I don't know.
Said that (be careful about Dekko2's) you can remove the whole cache directory, and reboot the device. The system and apps will recreate anything that they need.

I don't know what version of Firefox in present in 15.04, but if you want to install an older version of firefox that does not crash in 16.04, follow along with this blog post.
