install UBports in bq m10 Fhd ubuntu edition
-
@Vmgm Put the device into developer mode (system settings, About). Install https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979 15 sec adb it's best for Windows. The first time you connect with adb you will need to grant permission. Start the installer connect your device and away you go.

@Vmgm You can use also a bootable Ubuntu USB stick: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-create-a-usb-stick-on-ubuntu#0
and then follow this installation guide : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1367/ubports-ut-installation-how-to-guide-d-installation-d-ubports-ut -
I made step by step and in the tablet appears FASTBOOT mode. I saw that Ubport program can not recognize the tablet although windows does. Although I've tried in different computers, there is no interaction.
BQ m10 has the S.O. Ubuntu 15.04(OTA-15) -
I tried also fron ubuntu to install, but ubuntu detect tthe Tablet but not UBports installer

@Vmgm I had the same problem. I overcame it by using Win10 for part of the install and a Ubuntu computer for other parts. I had to switch from one to the other a couple of times. Sorry, but I did not document the precise steps that I took. It was a bit of a nightmare and somethings are still not functioning properly on my M10 FHD, ie Dekko2.

@Lakotaubp the part where you have to allow permission messes a lot of people up, nothing will happen until you do this.
you can flash TWRP with the flash-tool , and flash a presaved version ,if some one has one , (but run a backup, just to get the twrp (backup ) folder on your device) then go from there -
@Marathon2422 Yes it can be a bit tricky to spot, but as you say vital.

I've now updated the OS using Install Ubuntu Touch on the Bq m10 HD and following the "manual installation instructions" from a Debian 8 computer.
It was straight forward and seems to have worked, even though I hit an error or two ie I couldn't delete the user data nor the cache. I'm now running OTA-8.
However, I'm still hitting the same problem with Dekko2 though although I've tried re-installing it. I can find no way of getting Dekko2 to download any new emails, although on initial installation it did download my mail.

I would recommend:
- deinstall dekko2
- remove everything below
~/.cache/dekko2.dekkoproject
and~/.config/dekko2.dekkoproject
- install dekko2 from store
- configure your mailserver within dekko2
and if it still fails to fetch mails, enable the logging in
~/.config/dekko2.dekkoproject/dekkod.conf
like this[FileLog] Enabled=1 Path=/home/phablet/dekkod.log [LogCategories] IMAP=1 Messaging=0 POP=1 SMTP=1 [StdStreamLog] Enabled=0 [Syslog] Enabled=0
and come back with an exact problem description from the log.

@guru Many thanks guru. I've just carried out those steps and so far dekko2 seems to be working well, having overcome previous problems. If they re-occur, I'll post the output from the log.
