@Opolork fwiw I can see your new avatar now
Hi advocatux. That's the old one still.

@Opolork Sometimes it takes awhile for the change to occur. My advice is to delete the old avatar replace it with the new one on your system and leave it alone for a day or so and see what happens. Mine took over a week once then caught up.
-
@Opolork have you cleaned your browser cache?

I instead tried a different browser (Midori) - the Ubuntu avatar still shows there also.

Hi lakotaubp. Ok. I hope it doesnt take over a week though.
-
@Opolork sounds like a CDN cache problem then
I'm seeing your avatar fine but I'm in Spain.
-
maybe the static content has a long cache policy. You could try to find infos in the NodeBB support forum.

Hi Florian. I think I'll just follow the advice of @lakotaubp and wait a while. -
I can still see the ubuntu logo
-
@Opolork Your a big V now
-
Why would someone in Spain see the V avatar, yet I (in Ireland) cannot?
@flohack Do you also see the V avatar by my username?
-
@Opolork I'm not in Spain and I see the V
-
-
I was referring to the earlier post by @advocatux - he's in Spain.

@Opolork You might want to open the developer console in Firefox e.g. and look at the network logs:
As you can see I get a 304 Not Modified and to the right its marked as being sent from cache. Would be interesting to see yours.
-
Also bear in mind that we are using cloudflare for caching, so static content might not get synced in the cloudflare network for every proxy at the same time.
-
@Flohack I also use CloudFlare on my PC.
