Are you planning to add full device encryption on devices that can handle it with UT?
Encryption is a very important privacy feature, but i think you know that already -
How long do you think it will take for the porting for the PinePhone to be as polished as that for the Nexus 5:
-
3 months
-
6 months
-
1 year
-
more
?

Would it be possible for you to set up a UBPorts store which sells various Ubuntu Touch and Linux phones merchandise (10$ stickers please) to financially support you software engineers?
Thank you.

I could notice that a brand new UBports website is under construction. I really like the firsts mock-ups. Do you know when approx. will it be launched?

Creating a changelog for updates is too much work. But now it is very hard to detect the source of problems and regressions. Is it possible to automatically create a list of versions of installed packages for each update? (Or does such a list already exist?) And then have them available for a while so we can compare them and look for possible candidates to investigate.

Will the Xperia X have a Stable channel? I want to use it as a daily driver but every time the Dev channel does a big update (usually about 470mb) it fails with a bitmap icon_error and I have to use Ubports -installer to get it back again.

@dave1152000 There are afew devices that are in the same boat. When everything us working as it should be they will move onto the same update schedule as all the other devices.

@UBportsNews Hi, I'm barz. I have a question for the Q.A. A little background before. I'm a 3D artist, not a programmer. I feel kind of bad that I can't help a lot in the development process. However a Linux platform like this is great not not only for me, even for the privacy of my clients. I'm for now just a freelancer, not a big company. I wish I could help more in my field.
I work doing archviz and some 3D related things under Linux. I use game engines a lot, sometimes I use tablets and phones to show my work as a game. A 3D scene. I was wondering if someday Ubuntu Touch would be close to use Vulkan or API that will help not only me, all the game marketing has been a game changer in Android. There is a github with Unity 3D with SDL support, or should I use Godot instead? It would be great that 3D could be supported in the future. For now I wish you luck.

Alfred mentioned new device images, where would I find the one for xperia x compact?

Would it be possible to have a following on the Carddav issue?
I wrote my feeling in here about this topic : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4486/a-shop-ready-to-serve-for-ubports
that I copy in here, hoping it will be read.More and more people are syncing their contacts with clouds like nextcloud and they rely on such feature.
It is not possible to offer professional to switch to UT without this feature. An issue is open here ; https://github.com/ubports/address-book-app/issues/3
and an other here : https://github.com/ubports/sync-monitor/issues/9
and commits have been made in here https://github.com/ubports/address-book-app/commits/xenial_-_mercontacts but none have been merged.I feel like this feature isn't considered very important by devs (I guess they have no problem with the script) and I respect their work and choice between priorities. However today, I don't feel good. I follow UT project since it has started, I'm asking for this feature for long, long before Canonical gave up and I kept asking for it for the past three years.
I supported Firefox OS...
I supported UT...
I bought BraveHearyt Pinephone to do testing, and now a PineTab for my mum. Can I ask my mum to sync her contacts with our nextcloud using a script? Seriously?
I don't see why this very basic, important widely used feature is so considered as a leftover and in Q&A it is always question about MIR, Lomiri and other very very specific geeky things that not my mum, no other daily users need. -
@Thatoo No need to post the same thing in two places the answers will be the same and this Q&A thread is out of date as of yesterday really.
