Updates favored way ?
-
I apologize if it's been asked before, but every available update is displayed both in settings»updates, and in the openstore, and updating through one or the other option always leave the other option to display the same update, even though i installed it. I assume it's a long known bug but in the meantime I would likz to know what i'm supposed to do... Should I install everything twice ? Only through one or the other option ?

Your experience differs from mine. If I update from Open Store, for example, the update disappears from Settings, and vice versa. I use OTA-16 stable on Nexus 5.

It works properly for me as well on my Pixel 3a.

Ok nevermind it actually works.

@emphrath I think that happens when you open the OpenStore and the Updates page when the updates were still available. So even if you already updated them, they don't refresh their data immediately.
As much as I like updating my apps in system settings, I think it's better to remove it. It's possible in the future to have another app store so it's better to have them handle updates instead of the system settings. Actually, there has been discussions about this. t can also be tricky to sync the logic of both updates page.
