      Hi.
I've got a serious problem; last time I updated something went haywire and I ended up with a tablet that wouldn't start up. It shows the white screen carying the text; "Powered by Ubuntu" but never get to boot the OS. Only thing there after is a dead black screen. How do I resurrect my good old pal? I've tried the installer from my desktop PC running Ubuntu but it will not work. Any hints to how to procede ?

Do you know which channel you are on?
or maybe try reflashing with a different channel.

If you can get it into bootloader/fastboot do as @kugiigi said and reflash using the installer. If you where on devel there was a problem with one update last week but that's I can think of.

What is the problem, what error does it return?

Hi I've given you all the information I can. I only get to the mentioned black screen. Installer can't reach it and I can't get in contact thru my desktop computer running Groovy Gorilla. It doesn't react to button pushes in any combination I've tried. Bottom line; it seems kinda bricked when it should jump to the activation of the OS. Is it possible to manipulate the initial fase in any way?

@tomrausner Can you confirm if you are on devel channel? Your issue sounds very similar to recent issue on devel. Try going to fastboot mode and connect to your PC and try to reflash. If you setup SSH, you can try to connect to it and update via apt.

                  Hi.
Sorry, yes I was on devel channel. How do I get into fastboot mode, as things stand?

@tomrausner I'm not sure but it's usually pressing Volume Up + Power button for some time while it's off.

                      Hi.
Thanks a bunch. I pushed power+vol up but then the tablet started rebooting over and over. Finally I got it stopped and kicked it into fastboot mode. Third time the installer found the device and now the problem seems solved... Thanks again all of you 😉
