What are your latest thoughts on moving away from Clicks as the package format to something more standardized and maybe cross-platform?
I know flatpack was discussed, but it seems complex to include and maybe not the best choice.
I recently looked into Appimages and with something like this: https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageUpdate it is actually a really nice way of packaging and updating apps.
So any thoughts on this? (I am aware that replacing Clicks is not an immediate plan).

Did you ever consider adding a functionality to the "swipe from the bottom up" gesture on UT, like for example split screen possibility or something of sorts?
I know this wouldn't be a priority right now, just courious
Keep up the good work -
@isthisavailable The swipe from bottom to up gesture is reserved for applications to implement whatever functionality fits with their usage. Lomiri purposefully does not have any implementation for it so as to not cause conflicts by stealing the gesture and keeping it from reaching the application that is currently in the foreground.
-
@isthisavailable I'd really like to see the bottom-swipe action split, with a short swipe meaning "back" and a long swipe providing the current action. A dedicated back button is what I miss most from Android.
I don't think there's currently a way to send 'back events' to apps, so that would have to be added, of course. -
@goozai , @IsThisAvailable
IIRC this question has already been answered in the past.A back button is not relevant for the system because it would limit/impose this feature for app developers.
Not all apps need a back button, many of them don't have one and don't need it.
A back feature is only relevant at app level. That's it for this Off Topic. Dalton will decide whether to clarify things during Q&A or not.
Please, further discussion about this topic should be done in another thread.
Thanks for understanding and helping the Q&A team sort through this thread. -
@applee The point is, it wouldn't be a button - but a gesture, which the app could interpret as "back" when it made sense. In other words, a shortcut to the visible back button typically at the top left of the screen (which I find very awkward to reach). But I'll leave it here, or start a new thread in the Design forum.

@goozai it is an interesting thought - we won't have a 'universal back' ever i'm afraid - but discussions in the ux/design telegram seems to suggest that for apps that use the ut toolkit it may be possible able to alter the existing header/button - this of course would have to be changed in the toolkit, or simply implemented in a app first then adopted by other apps - the bottom gesture is app specific so not used at a system level.
tldr: start by making a app that has this gesture

@opaijavai there is a qqc2 suru style, does the spinbox need to be themed, are you specifying suru for your style?

MiTurbo
No picture (make green) with MiTubo on the Volla: it is not yet the 'TuRbo'..

@domubpkm let the developer know, maybe some logs and gstreamer investigation can help seems like maybe a volla native video problem?

@domubpkm oh! got it. thank you

@Flohack is really porting the Shift 6mq???
That's huge! - at least for me. I look for a successor of my Xperia X (with SFOS) for about a year. Vollaphone, Opo6, FP 3+, Xperia 10 ii but none them really convinced me to retire my Xx.
I never have thought about spending 800 β¬ for phone. For this one I would.
