            @keneda
            I guess in the UBports installer, in order to prevent accidental data loss.
            It's not a bad idea, but I don't know if they want the Ubuntu Touch password or the desktop password.
            The desktop password is quite easy I guess but it means root authorization, so maybe a trust issue.
            The Phone's password is a bit more tricky to implement I guess (but I know nothing about how the desktop and phone are communicating).

            Edit: The post being in Waydroid, it makes me doubt my reasoning 🤔
            @Dirussy can you elaborate on your proposition?

              Yes si on the setting app when you whant to do a factorie reset that wipe all thé document and app. It should aks you the password when you aks it to wipe and all reset. So nobody you give your phone can wipe it whitout the password.

                        I like it, if it's for accidental data loss you could have the user type "UBports" for example.

                        I've seen it on Blackberry when doing a factory reset.

                        Type "Blackberry" to confirm.

                          @dirussy I think you have to be an administrator or a moderator to be able to move a post from one catagory to another. I am neither.

                          I was just pointing out how to raise an item under a specific catagory.😊

                            Ok so let start again topic from here ^^
                            Now it's clearer that you talked about OS and not waydroid, you could open an "issue" on UT git for asking this feature to be implemented.
