    • significant improvement in UT’s start-up and restart times on Lenovo M10 TB-X306F

The boot and restart times for UT on the Lenovo Tab M10HD are now much shorter, representing an improvement on the more than 3 minutes it took just a few weeks ago.

So thank you to everyone who made this improvement possible.

      Hello,
Despite ota-3 being stable, led notification still doesn't work on my OP5T phone.
Has this been included in the bugs, because if we could find a developer who takes this as important?

    • RE: Video Camera not working properly

      @Salah
      Happy New Year!
I'm taking the liberty of joining the conversation for the same problem because I had edited a post on OP5T, not having received a reply.
Here's what I wrote in that post:

      Hello,
the camera's video playback is no longer possible, even after rebooting.
When I want to see a recording made from the camera or a downloaded video, the moment I start viewing, a black screen appears, and nothing else.
I've noticed this for about 1 week.
To all the many OP5T users out there, have you noticed this problem?

      @peat_psuwit
      Hello,
Unfortunately, I don't have time to deal with this this week, and I'm a bit reluctant to dig deeper into my only phone that I use every day.
To rectify, on my OPT5, my version is in French, but on the home screen, there is still the information: "No text message received today" (so in English), but the date and time and the rest are in FR.
I should point out that in the system settings, there are several items that are still in English while the main one is in French; I've noticed that it's not only on UT that this sort of thing exists, because on a Linux distribution with, for example, KDE, Gnome, etc, it happens that there are still some indications (by default) in English, while a previous version was mature and well translated...
      Have a nice day

      Hello,
      Very good action !
Hopefully we'll be able to see the results of your work in ota-5.
      Thank you.

    • UT 24.04 is good, and that's good ( great ) news

      Hello,

To everyone who has worked on developing UT, thank you.

Here is my opinion on the new version “for the way I use a mobile phone”:

A lot of great work has gone into making the system both functional and attractive.
UT remains an easy-to-use and aesthetically refined system, which is a real asset!

Of course, that's not all, because the technologies introduced over the last two years will be greatly appreciated by users depending on the phone they use.

However, I regret that some features have not been resolved on my OP 5T, which I mention in the OP section.
      There is a small bug that may be common to other phone brands listed in “devices”;
it concerns the remaining charge time shown on the screen, which unfortunately works in reverse, because when the phone is charged, it indicates that there are still several hours left before it is fully charged...

I hope this will be resolved as soon as possible.
      Best regards.

      Hello,

I don't know how to use your information in a terminal; copy and past doesn’t work, and unfortunately I can’t spare any more time to sort this little problem out at the moment.
I really appreciated your help, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I have the time.
      Best regards

Thank you for your quick response and suggestion regarding SQLite3.
I’ll give it a go based on your advice next w-e, if is possible.
      Have a good week !

      Thank you for your explanation.
      That’s probably what you’re describing.
I’m not familiar with SQLite3, but I know it’s built into BleachBit. Is it compatible with UT? And if so, as you say, it’s at my own risk...

Thank you for the tip. And I realise that, using the method you’ve described, it can be done with Mailo, for example, which is an app available in the UT Open Store...

Now the led notification issue has been resolved, it’s working 99% of the time… and this could be fixed on the device list for the OnePlus 5T
Thanks to everyone who worked on this.

    • Feedback and little suggestions

      Hello,
There’s no doubt that a lot of progress has been made in this 24.04 version…
      the latest 24.04-1.3
My OnePlus 5T runs smoothly and the translation is good, which is great to see, so Thanks the UT development team.
Furthermore, on my phone, the LED indicator ( Notification LED ) for missed calls and the mains connection for the battery now works at… 99%; it’s perfect, and this should be marked as resolved in the devices list for the OnePlus 5T ( I’m posting this topic in the 5T forum)

For the Lenovo Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen Wi-Fi 4G/64GB tablet, the boot time, and especially the system restart time, now has a ‘delay’ – which is fine – so good work has been done. (I’m posting this topic in the Lenovo Tab M10 forum)
As the system is becoming increasingly user-friendly, a bit of promotion might raise its profile, and the question is:
When sending an e-mail, could we envisage, as on the iPhone or other devices, it being indicated as ‘sent from UBUNTU TOUCH’, with the option to enable or disable this message for users who don’t like it?
Finally, a visual effect (or two) would add a bit of fun to the system...

Have a great week, everyone !

      Hello Danfro,
In version 24.04, the notification LED still does not work properly.
After a reboot, with a bit of luck, it may work, but after rebooting UT, it will not work...
Have you not incorporated your work on this kernel into the latest version of UT?
The LED for received messages or the LED light when charging the battery is GREAT when it works...
And speaking of battery charging, the remaining time displayed on the screen goes against the countdown, because when the battery is close to full charge, the remaining charging time displayed will have increased, so at the start of charging you might see 49 minutes. And then 12 hours and 5 minutes (weird, right?).
      Best regards
