@alagirialagiri said in what's a good minimum translation completion percentage: @doniks I want to know whether the news section , question and answer blog posts are available in weblate translation in Tamil language. There is no navigation box available as available in documentation page.i request weblate translators to provide the language transulation Navigation box for every forum .Thanking you. As I said before, I think it would be best to create a new post to maximise the chances that the right people can react to your questions, rather than burry your questions here in this thread. I don't have access to the blog

Yeah, that seems to be a known issue with some system messages not being fully localized, even when the main language is changed. It looks like that “No text message sent today” line might be hardcoded in English or just missing translations in certain languages.

@oya-g said in Japanese!!: Channel Update → 20.04Development has Japanese. My device is Pixel3a, so it is 4G compatible. The "development" channel is maybe not meant for day-to-day use, as it may be buggy and/or unstable. So really looking forward to japanese support arriving in stable. Note that even with a 4G compatible phone, you will not be able to do any phone calls inside japan, as the 4G protocol stack does not by itself support telephony. It only supports data. For telephony, you need VoLTE support, which is quite a messy affair, as it requires various firmware and software components to cooperate properly for calls to be routed over the 4G data layer (i.e. as VoIP call). UBports does not support that currently.

After asking in the telegram app dev group I found out that the error was caused by not specifying the property applicationName inside of the MainView. Because of that the gettext domain was set to an empty string, which prevented the translations from getting loaded.

@dobey said in [Norwegian] Which nb version?: @fossMan The standard way of doing things in Ubuntu translations is that translations are for the generic version (nb in this case), unless there is a specific need for regional translations to exist (such as for pt_PT and pt_BR). So you should do everything for the nb locale in this case, I think. 1 Unfortunately, it is a bit of a mess for those. https://i18n.skolelinux.no/localekoder.txt is the general guideline, where https://www.open-std.org/JTC1/SC22/WG20/docs/n854-Bokmal.htm is preferred https://icu.unicode.org/design/norwegian-locales-changes-in-v39 says "no" is un-deprecated, but that only makes sense to select as just one option to have the other (nn_NO, or nb_NO) as a fallback, not for content. On the new platform it is all in one locale, which avoids duplication. https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/ubports/-/nb_NO/ https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/lomiri/-/nb_NO/#overview TL;DR, nb_NO it is.

@libremax I confirm. I did also translate this page in french last year: https://ubuntu-touch.io/fr/ , but no change yet on the french website... Maybe this stuff has to be done in Weblate to be taken in consideration?

@vistaus To better investigate you need to confirm if the same components are affected as the original poster mentioned, or others. Translation is split among 30 or so individual projects, so its hard to find if the starting point is "Ubuntu Touch" ^^
