Focal OTA-2 install fail
@lduboeuf Unsure if this should be in a new post or not - but OnePlus 5T having issues upgrading to OTA-2 Focal
System -> Updates -> version 2 -> install -> restart and install -> reboots the device into recovery mode(available options are reboot or factory reset), doesn't install the update
Edit to add: channel: 20.04 Stable

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
@lakotaubp thanks for this tip! I had to unplug it (as it wouldn't boot to fastboot plugged in) and the installer did indeed continue!
Thanks again -
RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
Hi,
I was advised on the github for the installer to try the latest installer to get the firmware working.
The installer had no errors attempting to download the firmware, however when it tries to install the OS the phone turns off. (installer gets to rebooting to bootloader)
Current OS is ubuntu touch, developer mode is enabled & bootloader is still unlocked.
It is recognised in ./adb devices
However the same issue occurs when running ./adb reboot fastboot - the device powers off.Any ideas?
Thanks,
Alex

Thank you all for the swift responses!
I will enjoy my new phone - and check the installer every so often to see if the firmware updates are working!

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
After moving to using a mac, the installer ran successfully (it doesn't work with the firmware ticked though!)
So what am I missing without that firmware, and will it be possible to re-install at a later date with that firmware included?
Also is it possible to re-lock the bootloader after installing ubuntu touch, to remove the screen that appears on reboot?
Thanks,
Alex

thanks again both for the help!

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
@flohack If I try without ticking the box for the latest firmware, the device reboots to the same bootloader screen which says device state: locked
the ubports installer shows flashing firmware, instead of rebooting device - but nothing appears on the phone apart from the bootloader menu - so I suspect nothing is happening. -
RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
sidenote: the .zip it tries to download can be downloaded through a PC, so I'm not sure why the installer can't reach it.

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
@flohack Hi! Thanks for helping out - it previously did have encryption but I did a factory reset in the hopes that it would have cleared that out. I have no real experience with using TWRP, I have been following the progress of ubports via my BQ E4.5 but as that is basically a brick now, I decided I should give it a go on my old OP5T. Do you have a guide/link somewhere to using TWRP to remove the partition? If not, no worries!
Thanks,
Alex

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
@moem Thanks, I have clearly made a mistake somewhere - in the android developer settings, I have enabled OEM unlocking, but if I click ignore on the error above, the device reboots to bootloader and says device state - locked and my only options are start phone, turn off phone, and restart bootloader.
Thanks,
Alex

RE: Ubports installer issue - OP5T
@moem hi! Thanks for replying so fast, it has an ignore option, I just didn't want to click it and not have the recommended firmware installed. It works by simply clicking ignore?

Ubports installer issue - OP5T
Hi,
Unsure if this is the right place to create a ticket, so please let me know if it needs moving somewhere!
After reading the great progress of the OP5T port, especially the installer handling TWRP in the recent forum post, I decided to give it a go with my old OP5T.
Enabled developer mode, usb debugging and oem bootloader unlock; the installer correctly found the device and asked what I wanted to install.
After selecting firmware (as it was recommended) the installer crashes with error:
Error: core:download: Error: core:download Error: Error: Download Error: https://deac-ams.dl.sourceforge.net/project/crdroid/dumpling/6.x/firmware/firmware_9.0.11_oneplus5T.zip Error: certificate has expiredThis is an issue raised on github: https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/issues/2422
Is it a case of just wait patiently for a fix?
Many Thanks,
Alex

RE: BQ M10 FHD - Youtube
@Lakotaubp thank you for looking into this - sorry i never got back to you.
The youtube app works great at 360p, but trying any higher resolution causes the youtube video to stutter every 10 seconds -
RE: BQ M10 FHD - Youtube
@Lakotaubp were you able to test this? Sorry to bug you

RE: BQ M10 FHD - Youtube

BQ M10 FHD - Youtube
Re: BQ M10 FHD can't view videos on youtube
I am seeing the same issues as the linked topic, i installed the edge channel - version 185 (updated nov 6th)
It will play 3 seconds, buffer, play 3 seconds.
Is this due to not supporting hardware decoding, or have i missed something?
Thanks,
