I try to configure the apn with https://mobile.free.re/assistance/1268.html but i don't have all the parameter with the gui.
Do you know if there is a configuration file for the apn?
@escain you could try waydroid from openstore. It allow you to install android (lineage) into a contener and then it's quite transparent and easy to use.
@stanwood so, my sim on an other phone without the 5g capability works. And i tried a sim from an other carrier on my phone and the 4g works.
@stanwood I will try tomorrow as I don't have other phone now.
Hi,
my mobile data provider (free a french one) change my plan from 4G to 5G 3 days ago and since then, I can't connect to internet by mobile (wifi work).
I try to change to 3G, I reset the apn and i restart the phone, but it didn't work.
Under sim 1, I have Free, a plan bar and then 3G (where before i have LTE)
My phone is a FP3+ without the 5G, but it didn't fall back to 4 or 3g.
Hello,
Thank you for this port. I install it yesterday on fp3+ and mobile data, phone call, smms, mms, wifi and bluetooth work very well.
Even the sound is better and i can fine tune it, whereas on android i could increase it only by "big" step.

@luksus hello,
Indeed, I have the fp3+... So everything is normal.
Hello,
Thank you for your port.
I succeed to install the last version of the port without difficulty (master artifact from 4 days ago).
I have one issue, the sound doesn't work when calling or when looking at a youtube video. I know that at the top of the installation there is a warning : " audio-module do currently not work with this port" but in the working section, the sound seems to work (Cellular: Incoming, outgoing calls is working, Sound : microphone/volume control work…)
When I press the volume up and down, nothing happen.
So, does the sound work on this port ?
If necessary, I could open a new post.
@that_rin hey, nexus 5 gps and OTA-5 works here.
I have the issue with initial location, but after a few minutes it works. When I'm in hurry, I closed unav and relaunch it just after it found the wrong itinerary. This time, I have the correct position. Hop it could help.
Hi,
I'm an happy owner of the nexus 5 and everything work well with ubport. Thanks again to the team.
I have just one issue with battery drain. When the data is off, the battery drain is almost horizontal, but as soon as the data is on, the battery drain is really quick even when the screen is off.
So, I search a way to automatically stop internet data/wifi when the screen is off and resume them when I turn it on. I'm pretty sure that somewhere there is a script to launch command when you turn the screen on and off.
Is there any drawback ? For information, I don't use push mail and don't like notification for Internet stuff.
just a workaround : you could still tap the letter on the right to move quickly along your contacts.
@flohack you right and it's not an issue. But, maybe you could add in the changelog that convergence doesn't work with xenial ? I think it's a very important part of the ubports.
@Lakotaubp thanks for your answer. I think I'm a little too enthusiast
So, I try the OTA-4 and in addition to the blog post and to close my post :
Convergence : scaling doesn't work as written here https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/632 Picture in slideshow mode with Gallery works.
Camera freeze : as indicating in the blog post it didn't work
Libertine : it works
One remark about, the libertine application scales well with convergence (tested with shotwell).
Regards,
Altor
Hello everybody,
Firstly, thank to everybody to continue to develop and support the ubuntu phone. I'm a very daily happy user.
I was very exiting when I saw in the News forum that the OTA-4 will be deliver today. I was very enthusiastic to test it even if it's recommended to wait for OTA-5. I looked in the milestone and backlog everything seems closed especially the scaling issue for convergence. I checked the changelog (from the Q&A 34) and it seems fine.
But in reality, the bug seems to just move in OTA-5 milestone…
I buy the nexus 5 a few month ago for convergence (as recommended on the promoted device page) and it works very well. I really like convergence and use it often.
Now I would like to know what is the real status of the Nexus 5 with OTA-4 ?
In particularly for the following points as it seems the most challenging things to port:
If I understand well, the anbox port is not ready for OTA-4.
Thanks in advance if you could answer my questions.
If not, I will try OTA-4 in few days and report my finding here.
