  • RE: Open Store Dead Apps List

@AppLee said in Open Store Dead Apps List:

The best way to do it is to allow us to set preferences and filter out the webapps.
Even if we miss some good ones.
That's a feature we can work on and which exist on the web version.

Yes, that could be a good idea. I like the filter on the web version.

I see 2 potential problems with the webapps filling the store, mainly for newcomers:

    • it gives the wrong idea that there are a lot of apps available, even though many only are webapps. This could be misleading at first.
    • it is not easy at first to see that there are different kind of apps and how different they are.

On the other hand, if one installs UT on their phone, maybe they know better and the webapps are not really a problem. I think that the result list in Open store shows clearly which one is an app and which one a webapp.

If people want to go on with the idea of deleting "dead" or outdated apps, an idea could be to add a button in the Open store to report the app. When clicked, it could send an email to the author to ask if they want to remove the app or if they think that it should stay in the store. And after several "reports" and no change from the author, it could put the app on a list for someone to review and eventually remove manually.

  • RE: Calendar (CalDav) does not show in Calendar

I just checked my account in settings and it appears under Owncloud, not Generic Caldav. The help page from Framagenda had instructions for synchronisation with Ubuntu Touch... (https://docs.framasoft.org/fr/agenda/Synchronisation/UbuntuTouch.html) :clapping_hands:

Maybe you should check if this option is also available for you.

  • RE: Development testers for Anbox

@ricardo65 It may be too late now, but I had the same issue and the video posted by a member of the forum helped me solve it.

@HendriXXX said in Series of my Ubuntu Touch related videos:
New video of Anbox install.. Because of fixed "wifi killer bug", installation is much easier and faster. ☺

  • RE: Futify (spotify client) need beta testers

Thank you for this new build! Huge improvements on my Nexus 5.
Now I can click on songs to play them and I can easily navigate through the songs in the queue.
Another improvement: when I search for songs while listening to a playlist or an album, if I click on a song from my search results, it plays directly, it is not added last in the queue.
The only problem so far: when charging a long playlist, the queue is kind of blocked until all the songs are loaded. In this case, if I click on another song from my search results, it doesn't play and is added last in the queue instead. I tried several times and I think that it happens only when the queue is not fully loaded. If I have a queue fully loaded (I have only tried with albums or short playlists, I haven't had the time to wait until a long playlist is fully loaded), then I can play another song from my search results without problems.

I haven't had the time to play around much more, but just one small thing that could be improved in my opinion: when you make a search and find an album, if you click on it, it displays the album first, and then the songs. You can click on the songs, but if you want to play the whole album, you have to click on the small play icon (top right). It could be easier to click on the album on the top of the list, like you do with songs.

Kudos for the good work! I look forward to making more testing!
