Make sure that your device does not go to sleep, while installing a new container.

      Hi @Luksus ,
Thank's to you as usual and your excellent ideas, It's now OK !
I tried yesterday after many many others try to install Debian paquets watching my phone no falling asleep and it's perfect.

Now Libertine is OK on my FP3+

    • RE: uRSSES app

      Hi @darkeye ,

With today update, uRSSES is ok now and connect to my Nextcloud account.
For info, syncing is quite lazy and takes a bit (I've got around 5500 news each update):smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

      thanks again.

    • Waydroid ... how to shut it down ?

      Hi,
I installed Waydroid on my FP3+ and everything is going on well 👍
Android apps which are installed there, leaves an icon in Ubuntu Touch Apps list so you can easily launch an Android App without first launch Waydroid.

But to shut down Waydroid propperly I only found through terminal as it's explained here on waydro.id

      waydroid session stop
      sudo waydroid container stop

... so do you know if there's another option without using terminal to stop Waydroid ?

For instance when I "slide away" waydroid as it's done for Ubuntu touch apps, Waydroid window disapears but you can't launch it again since it's running in the processuses ...

    • RE: anbox halium or waydroid no support for UT?

      Hi,

I just installed Waydroid on my FP3+ following what wrote @FP2andFP3-User

      sudo -s
      sudo mount -o remount,rw /
      apt update
      apt install waydroid -y
      waydroid init
      sudo reboot

Everything is OK, I installed F-Droid then also Blabber, it seems everything is fine 👏
Many thants to those who made it possible !

    • It works OK except video recording and GPS ...

Hi @Luksus UBports & UBTouch team
(I just moved my post here ...)
I installed UBTouch halium 10 few days ago on my FP3+ after more than 10 years using CyanogenMOD, then LineagedOS and /e/ OS, mainly on LG phones.
I run Debian on my computers at home for nearly 20 years ;o)

I first thank you all for the work you've done and you do, that's fantastic !
so I'm quite happy tu run one 🐧 on my phone.
I'm now just impatient to get ANBOX on halium 10 since I read on this forum it's better not to set it up right now.

Many things are working on well
      and 2 main features not ... :

      • GPS
      • Recording VIDEO with the camera
      • Libertine containers (can't add debian package .. I tried with Gedit and Firefox)
      • ADB (wich is known)

My bootloader is unlocked .. I also read it's better not to lock it.

I tried many app from the OpenStore wich are NOK such as "Newie" (RSS reader from Nextcloud), as uRsses (RSS reader), ConverseJS or Webchat Jabber.de or Movim (Jabber/XMPP chat app), Keeweb or Keeweb Webapp (Passwords manager)

Regarding the default WebBrowser, there's no ID/PWD recording function, do you know if it's planned ?

      Bravo @Luksus !

    • RE: It works OK except video recording and GPS ...

In fact @luksus I did try the ubports-installer (following your others posts) with "wipe" unchecked and it didn't work.
I tried three time and no success .. I always have an error message ... it's why I wanted to set up last update through terminal

I guess it will help you if I post the error message, righ ? I'll do it as soon as I go back to my place.
