@Lakotaubp How bizarre! Your suggestion worked for me too!
With Morph, I selected desktop mode and connected to:
www.bbc.co.uk
and entered my email address and password as you described.
After that, I found that I was logged in to iPlayer etc.
So workaround was successful. Many thanks.

BBC Login Problem
Since upgrading my M10 tablet to OTA 14 I've been unable to login to BBC News or BBC iPlayer from Morph browser. Have other UK users experienced the same problem?
No problem from Firefox on my laptop. The BBC websites all recognize me as already logged in.
All BBC websites I visit with Morph request me to log in. However, when I try to type my email address, the characters I type are right justified until I enter the @ character. This is inserted in front of what I have already typed. Thus it is impossible to log in.
I believe I've had this problem in the past and the advice from @AppLee was to set Morph to desktop mode. This time that doesn't help.
I've just checked my Nexus 4 which is also on OTA 14 and that is OK - I am still logged in to the various BBC websites.
I've also checked my PinePhone and that's OK too - I'm recognized as already logged in.
I'd like to resolve this problem as watching BBC iPlayer videos on my M10 tablet is preferable to watching them on a phone screen.

RE: PinePhone Browser not working with some websites
@AppLee The insight you provided enabled me to improve the browsing experience on my Nexus 4. In browser settings I turned 'desktop mode' off and 'automatic fit to width' on.
I suppose that's obvious when you think about it. -
RE: PinePhone Browser not working with some websites
@AppLee Aha, I am beginning to understand now. Many thanks for your input.

RE: PinePhone Browser not working with some websites
@dobey @AppLee OK, I see what you mean. I've just run whatsmybrowser.org on my Nexus 4 for 'activate desktop mode' both off and on. In each case the reported user agent strings are identical. The whatsmybrowser tool however reports the OS as Android 4.4 in one case and Ubuntu 16.04 in the other.
I don't see the point of Ubuntu Touch identifying itself as Android 4.4 in the first case. -
RE: PinePhone Browser not working with some websites
@dobey @applee It seems to me that UT should never report itself as OS Android 4.4 because that causes the BBC to complain about an out-of-date browser. Once I select 'Activate desktop mode' in Browser Settings, PinePhone correctly reports itself as OS Ubuntu 16.04 and the BBC website works fine. I will open an issue at https://github.com/ubports/morph-browser as you suggest.

PinePhone Browser not working with some websites
I was unable to log in to the BBC website. WhatsMyBrowser.org reported my OS as Android 4.4 instead of Ubuntu 16.04.
I've had this problem before with my Nexus 4 and @applee advised switching browser to 'activate desktop mode'. This worked for my N4.
This also worked for my PinePhone! Now identified as OS Ubuntu 16.04 and able to log in to BBC website.
I hope this information may be useful to others.

@domubpkm Interesting. Thanks for the link. Looks like a complicated subject with many variables. Not for the faint-hearted.

RE: Nexus 4 detected as android 4.4
@AppLee That looks pretty scary to me. Could you use that technique with Webapp Creator? How about Webber?
I've been de-installing my private webapps (made with Webapp Creator) and replacing them with shortcuts made with Webber. In most cases this worked fine. I only had trouble with the BBC website which worked on my N4 prior their recent website upgrade. -
RE: Nexus 4 detected as android 4.4
@AppLee Great advice; many thanks! I switched browser settings to desktop mode on the N4 and now the OS is reported as Ubuntu 16.04 and the BBC iPlayer website works. You are a star!

RE: Nexus 4 detected as android 4.4
@AppLee The browser is reported as 'Default Browser 65' for both devices.
I think the BBC has updated the iPlayer website recently and it is objecting to 'Android 4.4'. I don't understand why Ubuntu Touch would report itself as Android. Anyhow, thanks for your suggestion. I will give it a try. -
Nexus 4 detected as android 4.4
BBC iPlayer has stopped working on my N4, but still works fine on my M10 tablet.
I've investigated using www.whatsmybrowser.org and found that the OS is reported as Ubuntu 16.04 for the M10, but Android 4.4 for the N4.
Both devices were running Ubuntu touch version 553.
The BBC Troubleshooting page cites an 'outdated browser' as a likely cause of problems.
Please advise how I should proceed. Thanks. -
RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@dtarrant @kugiigi @dobey M10 problem solved! The trouble was the 'Lock when idle' setting was 5 minutes and not 3 minutes as on my N4. Took me a long while to find the config utility:
Battery Indicator / Lock when idle / After 3 minutes
Easy when you know how -
RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@kugiigi For the record, I just switched my M10 from rc to devel and there is a new problem: the music app now doesn't suspend at all

RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@tnywatkns Cool! Do you have the Pinephone UBports Community Edition?
-
RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@dobey Yay! Problem resolved! Just switched my N4 to devel channel and now music app suspends screen but continues to play audio. Perfect
Thank you everyone for your help. Now to listen to my Soldersmoke podcast. -
RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@tnywatkns I'm still waiting for for my pinephone
I've also discovered that I have the same issue with my M10 tablet. -
RE: Music app UTTT prevent app suspension
@kugiigi I am on release candidate channel and I will try stable and development channels as you and dobey suggest.
