@Moem Do you know what Ubuntu Touch is and will always remain a test system with this attitude? It is also cheeky to forbid me to say what I have been trying to say here in a normal tone for so long. If you have this support only in English and no German support Telegram is a Frankenstein service!!!! Sorry then it is. And I know you don't want any cretics here. But it's cheeky if the system doesn't even have support for Xiaomi ports in general. I will express my factual opinion wherever I see fit and stand by it.Just like in the Telegram group you spread OT yourself and count me in. You better be happy that there are people like me. OK, maybe I can't do much programming because I'm not a developer. But the testing and what not for you wanted to have tested. You don't have to understand. The fact is a Waydroid is not a solution in the long run because it uses up battery power.

RE: Tello VoLTE
@metalmyles said in Tello VoLTE:
@rocket2nfinity That's right. I look forward to the day VoLTE is finally implemented. Thank you guys for all the great work you do!
I think it will be another 5 - 10 years before UT gets VoLte and VoWifi.

RE: Some Confusion about the install requirements
@GosuSan Just do it and don't always rely on the instructions. Xiaomi still has Android 10, which is mandatory for Ubuntu Touch. By the way, you are right, you should link the right version for each device. I have already reported what was somehow done but now you have to search for it yourself. I haven't seen the porter since the beginning of the year here probably a lot of work or not.

RE: UT install process is very error prone.
@arubislander Everything is fine. There's definitely nothing more for me to add. Above all, I don't need to continue using the software in its current state. For this reason, my point of view is now back to an OS that I can use better for the time being. In 5 years it may look completely different. But no VoLte no WhatsApp only via Emolator - no, that's no good. I only use Telegram because of various other software for Miatool. And to be honest, as far as the original Android 10 is concerned, you can also use Lineage OS 17.1, at least on Miatool. I don't think that would be illegal instead of the original Android. Where there's a will, there's definitely a way to make the installation better. You are welcome to mark the topic as solved as I did not create this.

Miatoll RN9P
Hello dear makers of the Ubports software forge. One question: what about the support for the latest Xiaomi devices from Miatoll? My status is that you should use firmware 12.0.2.0 or higher! Is it possible to use Android 11 or higher later? What interests me is why you can also install Droidian with the installer? But for Droidian there is also an installer for the Miatoll device. I had already tried UT Xenial, which worked great. It doesn't seem to be so good for Focal yet? Bluetooth and battery consumption were not so good. Now I'm torn between trying something older or sticking with Android. Unlocking the bootloader
Unlocking is not that easy. -
RE: WhatsApp on Ubuntu Touch?
Are you finally bringing WhatsApp to Ubuntu Touch? I mean Ubuntu Touch is slightly based on IOS. In any case, it would be very nice if WhatsApp was finally available natively. Telegram and other platforms are also partially available for UT, at least this was the case with Xenial. Focal is and remains a construction site with so few apps. You can definitely forget about the web apps as you can also create a bookmark in the browser. Ubuntu Touch even lacks a browser. Nevertheless, good luck that Ubuntu Touch is getting better. As a tester, a lot is still missing, especially basic 4G LTE telephony or even WLAN telephony. That's why I don't understand as a user that the development is only for OTA and the system is constantly being tinkered with. Now they are already working on 24.04, no wonder the Ubports software doesn't work reliably.

RE: WhatsApp on Ubuntu Touch?
@UBportsNews It would be time not to do so much OTA stuff, but to get VoLte, VoWifi and common apps like WhatsApp to Ubuntu Touch first. Everything else is definitely not necessary from the user's point of view if an OTA is stable. I would go even further and reserve the software channels RC and Dev for developers only. Because if you play too much with Ubuntu Touch, you will break the software faster than you use it.
