    • Read this if your cache partition isn't big enough to install UbTouch on the nexus 7 2013 (read if you want to risk this on other devices)

Having trouble installing or updating ubtouch? Does the installer say that there's no space left on /cache/recovery?
      You're in the right place!

This happened because you used something that resized your table and now you need to resize it to stock. In my case, I executed this script and forgot about it. You'll need to execute the second script in the download-ables of that thread (sysrepartundo.zip).

This exists because when trying to install a big rom with gapps, even the smallest pico package, the system partition doesn't have enough space for the gapps.

Ubports installer or ubuntu-device-flash install the OS in another way, different from the normal .zip flashing that you're used to. It copies the installation files and a script to the cache partition to install it. So if you execute this you'll have your 800 mbs for the system which for ubtouch is more than enough, and 551 mbs for the cache. I never tried this on other devices, but for science you are welcome to.

Also, if the ubports installer fails you, here's a link to download ubuntu-device-flash, which helps you installing it from the command line. Obviously this is to run on a debian based linux os or on the Linux subsystem for windows or in a Virtual Machine.
If i was helpful please write it.
      Thank you.

Edit: edited formatting and here's a direct link for ubuntu-device-flash

@UniSuperBox I did. The installer doesn't really work it just hangs on formatting cache but the ubuntu-device-flash utility worked. Now I'm running it and I love it. So since you are here, why when I add a .deb to Libertine it says that it's installing but then it removes it? what am i doing wrong?

    • RE: Nexus 7 2013 Wifi (Flo) 32 gb won't copy every installation file

@UniSuperBox Now that I checked I did execute a script that did reduce the cache size from 500 mb to 260 to get more /system space because I couldn't install gapps. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76278047&postcount=19

@UniSuperBox Also, what files do I need to download and install from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-rtm/14.09/daily-preinstalled/pending/ ?
I think that if I install UbT and then use the normal ubports installer the /cache partition will be resized by ubt, correct?

Also the installation still gave me an error. By using this I can flash the system and boot, and then unzip the rootfs to /

Update: I'm giving 15.04 a try but I still see that it's almost 400mb. I was even thinking about installing 14.04 but on the index of the standard ubports server (https://system-image.ubports.com/) there is no 14.04. However there is a legacy folder but there's not flo in there.

    • Nexus 7 2013 Wifi (Flo) 32 gb won't copy every installation file

So lately I've been trying to install UbTouch on my Flo, but whenever I copy the installation files the process halts at about 50% (tried with the ubports installer and the ubuntu-device-flash), because the cache is only 256 mb big and they won't fit there. Is there a way to increase the cache or to copy the files somewhere else?
      Thank you!
