Anyways it is just a thought so don't get it wrong I really like the actual Ubports image I'm using it as my daily driver on the edge channel, can't complain. Thanks.

RE: bq Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition wants to be OEM unlocked during installation
@Tartaros said in bq Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition wants to be OEM unlocked during installation:
@Lakotaubp I expect I need to switch the device to fastboot mode prior to performing the OEM unlock? I will try it tomorrow.
In theory yes, snaps can be run with Manjaro, but the snap support is still experimental and I do not want a snap error to make my phone a pricy paperweight.
You can try the appimage it works well.
I just tried today the snap installer since the aur package was giving me the same error as yours and it worked flawlessly. -
RE: Cannot use adb because of unauthorized device [worked around]
@UniSuperBox before that it needs to locked, so a password is required otherwise it'll not work?

RE: Cannot use adb because of unauthorized device [worked around]
@MotoFckr9k do you unlock your device by using a password? if you haven't already set a password to unlock the device from the security and privacy settings you could try and set a password, restart adb services and try again see what happens.

RE: Librem 5 Phone, progress reports
@trainailleur also note that the phone in question is branded Verizon so that would add lots of seconds to the boot time, in this specific case they could at least use a debranded phone ahhh...
The comparison has no sense.
And all of that promoted on the official website ahhh... -
RE: OTA-9 && battery drain
@guru With my N5 while the wifi and cellular data is on the battery lasts almost the whole day. Instead with the flight mode turned on, the battery drains like hell I mean during the night it drains from 90% to 30% or so.
I guess It's more convenient to have all the switches on.
Also I tried all channels, stable, rc and dev all the same behavior. Weird -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@jajan3 I am sorry to hear that, I tried my best.
You could wait for someone more capable to answer you, I am just a new Ubuntu touch user who doesn't know much about it yet.
Have a nice day. -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@jajan3 so:
go in system settings and click cellular
then click carrier and apn then click apn
then click internet and under used for click once angain
finally choose internet and mms and fill in the fields needed.
last step save in the top right. -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@jajan3 have looked in the cellular setting?
under cellular settings choose apn and you ca edit parameters by clicking on the right arrow.
There you will have more options under used for and if not already selected choose Internet and MM, fill in the fields and save.
Hope this helps.
Also make sure that in the message app settings MMS option is enabled. -

RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@Lakotaubp Do you know on which channel OTA-9 will be avalable?
Thanks. -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@dees No worries I'm sorry for your experience.
I am using the latest version of ubports installer on Ubuntu and had no problems at all, anyways today is the release of OTA-9 maybe that will solve the issues you have. -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@dees try reinstall with ubports chage channel to rc and select Wipe Storage (make sure to back up your files first) see if is stable, remember to check for updates also, if is not stable change from the device in the updates settings the channel to developer, check for updates and let them install.
If you use your phone with a sim card you should also go in cellular settings and look for apn check it so it turns green and select Internet under used for inside apn and fill in the name and apn with the name of your carrierHope it helps, or else you could wait for some other suggestions.
Have a nice day. -
RE: Various issues with Nexus 5
@deescover you could try and change the channel from update settings to development and check for updates, once the updates are installed you could roll back to the previous channel.
I have a nexus 5 too and on my first install (RC channel) the battery would drain very fast, the network signal wold drop all the time etc. so I changed the channel to development and all seemed to work much better, I then chose to roll back to the RC channel and it is very stable, I have almost all day battery, network quite stable, camera works well etc.
Let me know how it goes, I'm a newbie too in that matter, so this is only a suggestion.
Or you could reinstall with ubports from your PC without a wipe clean see if it works.
